"When we were on our Danube River Cruise a stop was at Passau, Germany. We always do our own touring rather then with a group. Passau is a neat little town for a walking tour, especially at Christmas time. When lunch time came, we had walked by Bilancia and had looked at lunch pics in window, so we went back to it. No one spoke English, which is not a problem for us, we are very good at pointing at pictures and getting questions answered. Waiter was great, it came across that he would order for us. He sure did, brought samples of cheeses and meats, 4 different small pizzas to try and 2 salads, which were huge. Then to top it off 4 small chocolate deserts. Very clean and cozy, had to walk it off or take a nap."

Service could be kinder, as is expected when you pay for whatever you are eating or drinking. My coffee was cold, even when I kindly asked the server I wanted it hot.

Enjoy delicious local beer on the outdoor tables by the Plaza. The Pizza was very good. They have salads, pasta and more. The Rest also has a beautiful indoor seating area.

We had a good lunch here. Personally I had the Tagliatelle con prosciotto di serrano € 8,60). It was not a much but for a lunch it will absolutely do. The service is nice but always in a hurry. View menu

Traditional trattoria italiana, excellent service, very kind people. Fresh, clean food. Super good quality in normal prices. Delicious recipes! If they would accept credit cards it would be just perfect!

We'd go back there any time. We came across this restaurant by chance - and what a pleasant surprise it was. The food was excellent and so was the service. The menu offers a variety of Italian dishes and all of those we sampled were first-rate. Prices are moderate - so it all adds up to a most pleasant dinner experience.

We were wandering around Passau's old town looking for a place to eat on a Sunday evening and found this place. My husband had pizza and I had the spaghetti Bolognese. He had a delicious German beer and I had a lovely glass of wine. The prices were reasonable and the service good. The food was very good as well. Recommend. View menu

As with other reviewers I was on a Danube River Cruise And stopped in Passau. I just wandered around the city and got lost in the history- my favorite thing to do. I came across this old building with a very inviting pizza restaurant in it. Having lived in Italy for 4 years I had all but given up ever finding a similar "real" pizza. But I found it here- authentic Italian pizza, wonderful waitress and warm and lovely ambiance. I just loved this restaurant. If you stop in Passau be sure to try it- I'm certain you will love it as much as I did!! Remember to bring Euros- they do not accept credit cards. Enjoy!!!

We stopped in Passau to visit the famous Catholic Cathedral of St Stevens, and to hear a lunchtime recital on the largest Cathedral organ in the World (17974 pipes), which happens from April to October - six days a week. Afterwards, a very short walk brought us to Residenz Platz and here we found this excellent Italian style Ristorante-Pizzeria in a prime position in that main square. The food, service and drinks were all that we could wish for, and the passing parade of tourists made for good people watching. If outdoor eating is not appealing, then indoor is also catered for, in memorable surroundings. Can't wait to go back some day for a repeat!
