"Wir waren als Aussteller auf der Leipziger Buchmesse und entsprechend durch den Wind, als wir hier am Sonntag nach dem Standabbau einkehrten. Das Restaurant liegt gegenüber des Zoos an einem Kanal mit einer schönen Terrasse, auf der man im Sommer sicher lauschig sitzen kann, die aber an einem eher kalten Märzabend natürlich noch nicht geöffnet war. Innen gibt es verschiedene Ebenen, die den Raum proportionieren, dezentes, angenehmes Licht und entspannende Musik, vor allem auch, was die Lautstärke angeht. Wir (zwei Personen) haben uns einen Insalata Caprese mit wunderbarem Büffelmozzarella geteilt, dazu Bier und Rosé, danach ein Steak, das auf den Punkt gebraten war, und ein sehr leckeres Nudelgericht. Der junge Mann, der uns bedient hat (groß, schlank, dunkelhaarig), hatte die wunderbare Balance zwischen sympathisch-locker und korrekt, sodass wir einen sehr aufmerksamen, aber unaufdringlichen Service genießen durften. Am Ende hat er uns noch einen sehr guten Digestif empfohlen, der den Abend wohlig ausklingen ließ. Das Restaurant gehört sicher nicht zu den billigsten in Leipzig, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist aber sehr angemessen, sowohl was die Qualität der Speisen als auch den Service angeht, das Ambiente war ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Wir haben es wirklich genossen in der Trattoria Aurelia und kommen gerne wieder!"

Located very close to the Leipzig Zoo, this restaurant is a very good choice for lunch and dinner. I can personally recommend the thin and crusty italian pizza simple but good tasty food!

Generous portions of hearty Italian food I was here in spargel season so had a fiery pseudo-Sicilian meal of asparagus with ricotta gnocchi and a very revitalising peppery meat sauce. Ideal location if you've just spent four hours walking round the zoo.

With the Italian cuisine and great view balcony you just need to enjoy your meal. There is no service price added! Pizzas tasted yummy and more than enough! I do recommend this pizzeria especially in summers as you can stay outside while enjoying the small...river view aside.

Great food, really splendid and real italian. A little bit away from the center but definitely worth a visit. Very friendly staff, a cosy and romantic ouside terrace with about tables. We really love it. We had linguine contadina and linguine de la casa...and both dishes were delicious. View menu

We were overnighting in the Mercure, close to the Zoo and the weather was so awful we decided to pick a restaurant close by. Following the advice given by fellow Tripadvisors we went to this restaurant. The atmosphere was good, the service was prompt and...friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Carpaccio followed by the thin based pizza, delicious. We would go definiteley go there again, next time it would be nice to sit outside on the terrance in the sunshine.
