"Second time of visiting. The first time I gave a 4*. This time, disappointing. Took ages to be served while I was waiting a man with his dog came in went into the kitchen area, as he knew the chef. Firstly, I don't agree with a dog being in a food area if you're running a business. Secondly, the chef bent down was stroking the dog then went back to serving the food without washing his hands which is not very hygienic. Thirdly, when the food came the bacon wasn't crispy as asked very fatty. The toast had only been buttered in the middle so rest of it was dry. My daughter had a bap the top was burned so I asked for another top part. The girl took the whole thing away came back 10mins later, with yet another burned top. A piece of chocolate fudge cake also costs an extortionate £3.80, so didn't buy dessert. The reason for a 2* is because the coffee is nice, the poached eggs cooked perfectly the blonde lady very courteous. However, i won't be returning I'm afraid."

Shocked at the foul language used towards young staff by the manager, its bullying. Not what customers want to hear especially families with children.

Top gluten free cake. This was a ‘cycling stop’ for welcome coffee and cake. The service was quick and helpful. The gluten free lemon polenta cake was lovely and there was another option. The carrot cake was super.

My colleague and I decided to have breakfast at this restaurant and ordered the full English breakfast for £9. It was of really good quality, well-cooked, and looked appetizing on the plate. The staff were excellent. I would give it full marks.

Lovely setting on the river and really beautiful setting indoors. Sadly the food was not very nice at all, I had coronation bagette which had a strange runny sauce and some misplaced salad and red onion not what I was expecting. Desert looked nice though, would go for that if I revisited again.

After spending four days in Dartmoor, we returned to Ivybridge in search of a hearty breakfast before catching our train. Rochelle's more than delivered. The friendly service, delicious food with a wide variety of options, picturesque views of the river, and inviting atmosphere make it a fantastic choice for a meal.

I went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was overpriced for what you received, which was just average and only warm. The staff, except for the owner, were lovely. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, her attitude and hard demeanor were absolutely appalling. She seemed to believe she was never wrong. If you lack customer service skills, I don't think you should be in this line of work. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Came here today for lunch and still disappointed that you have a ridiculous system for ordering food! Why don't you offer waitress service? One has to queue moving from side to side as the waitresses come out with orders from the kitchen or someone needs a pathway to go to the toilet! It's such a cramped experience, especially at lunch time, and it would elevate the café to more of a French cafe. We have so much to learn from our European friends.

I had never been to Ivybridge before yesterday and I can't say it's the most exciting place in the South West. However, I met some friendly people and there are some interesting shops. I was particularly impressed by Rochelle's. Very friendly staff who greeted us as we came in. The food was very nice. I ordered the Pea and Mint soup but I had pretty low expectations im afraid but it was absolutely delicious! Coffee was great too. Best of all, it was very busy but the staff were so friendly and professional we also got served in good time. Well worth a visit.
