Lovely food and friendly staff. We booked a shed for six which was lovely. The only downside was being kept waiting at the entrance, but I think there was only one member of staff and the queue was quite long.

I have some friends for a chat and a meal. I was worried because we ran too late. The staff was brilliant, very friendly and attentive. The food was great and good portions. We were so impressed that we booked a table for the new year in January. Thank you to Jason, although all the employees were very professional, but I didn't get all their names. I'm glad to see you all again. Thank you.

We often visit this pub as it’s in the middle for us to catch up with friends and family in Surrey! Never had a disappointing meal, the roasts are always great! Staff are lovely too and there is great outside seating and a nice play area for the kids! Only con is the parking, it’s always packed and you sometimes have to wait for a space, so get there a little early if your going on a Sunday!

Couldn't ask for more. Very pleasant service (the girl serving was very sweet indeed) with an excellent menu followed up by great food at a great price. For once I was pleasantly surprised by the bill! Add to that great interior and ample parking. It looks like it's busy in the evenings (we went for lunch) and has some very good cocktail promotions at the moment. Shame it's not my local as we would go more often if it were...but definitely worth a detour.

Good pub this. I’ve been frequenting it for around 5 years now and I’ve never had a poor experience. It’s located just on the edge of Thorpe on the way to Virginia Water. There is parking out the front, to the side or another car park adjacent with a night barrier. The inside is lovely, genuine feel of a really nice old pub that is well maintained. Outside is great too with plenty of tables plus lots of fun “shed” style areas with heaters so you can stay dry should the heavens open up! Over the years I’ve had a number of dinners here, steak the most recent which whilst not the best I’ve ever had was still very nice and cooked perfectly to my liking, medium-rare! We had a table booked which wasn’t ready upon arrival, in fact it was almost half an hour late (no one was sat at the table) Whilst we were waiting we decided to get a drink from the bar, it took the bartender over 15 minutes to serve 2 people in front of us… Once we were seated it took half an hour for someone to come and see if we were ready to order, we placed our order and I was very specific that i wanted the larger steak (not sirloin) and for it to be cooked medium. Our starters arrived around 20-25 minutes after this (so 90 minutes after our booked time), and our mains arrived 45 minutes later (over 2 hours by this point).
