A nice little place with good Italian food at a reasonable price. Service is good with a very friendly staff. A must stop when staying at the Crowne Plaza....

I was a little skeptical about Italian in Germany! What a nice place. The tortellini special with truffles was very flavorful capped with a nice Chianti. The tortellini pasta is handmade and stuffed with fresh ingredients. The tiramisu is homemade and is not as sweet...as others and infused with a robust expresso dusting. The fruit compote as a garnish for the tiramisu was outstanding. Service was great and spoke several languages to make you feel at home.

I was there only after a break of years. no reason for the long break, only a beautiful Italian closer to home. we were at a late Christmas employee dinner. I was amazed that the same lady worked there (the owner I suspect) she had not changed very much. we had a nice evening. the food was good solid Italian cuisine, as I remembered from earlier. I had a tortellini with sage and butter it was very good. dessert was good, salat was good. the place can be quite loud, I think it is the cement and flowing mix. it was a very pleasant evening, eating was very good and service very good. the prices are average for a heidelberger italiener. I would recommend it.

this restaurant was recommended by our guide as a great opportunity to take a break from German food and really enjoy in some authentic Italian cuisine. he warned us that the restaurant was small and that it took its time. he had no mistake. that wait or how wonderful it was to eat. we had some simple and classic (to us) Italian red sauce dishes with pasta. the soße had a butter-rich enough that we were not used to from the northeastern Italian restaurants of the usa, and it was delicious. they had a good house Italian red wine and the decor was warm and welcoming. the waiting staff was generally very nice, but also very busy. there was a nice woman who seemed like she had the place and she... read the great reviews and looked forward to our pizzas. unfortunately the whole experience left much to wish. the service was casual and slow, while the restaurant was almost empty and when it was full, was the only woman who served, chaotic, but...forget very best. our pizzas accepted forever, even though we were early and only the third couple arrived. my margarita pizza should be thin and crispy with something extra cheese, but it was soft and diligent with so much cheese that it was impossible to enjoy. I asked for an additional topping of cut olives and hit massive whole, acidic olives with stones still in incredible. the wine list was limited to four weine and was at best table wine....

For a warm Saturday night, we couldn't figure out how this place wasn't packed! The food was so good, the service was friendly, and they opened the outdoor wall, so there was a nice breeze from outside. We think it must be family-run by Italians.. they were so warm and inviting, and spoke Italian to a couple of the other tables. Also good English no trouble with understanding them, and the waitress helped with the menu. I had the house-made, spinach-stuffed tortelloni they were HUGE and piping hot in a cream sauce to die for. I also had the house salad that came with a bottle of housemade creamy dressing delicious and light. My colleague had the Pizza Della Casa with ham and eggplant. ....Ag...

Driving back from skiing holiday, overnight stop in Heidelberg. We arrived late Saturday, stopping at Crown Plaza slightly out of town centre. We were tired, thirsty hungry and wanted a local Italian that was convenient and had good food. Hotel recommended Ristorante...Santa Lucia. Literally over the road from hotel.
