Secret Garden Vegan Sushi

A somewhat hidden restaurant, but definitely worth discovering.

The food was delicious, the location unique and the waiter demure.

The picture I took isn't the best one, but the vegan sushi was very good! We had a selection of the menu for 2, for 40€. It was a good quantity of food but we still got an addition of Tempura pyramid as well, and in total with water we spent 55€ for two people. Sushi rolls were lovely, especially the fried ones and the ones with truffles.

What happened to this place??? The quality used to be amazing, they used beautiful rice grains and the sushi was so creative and fresh?! Im not even vegan and their sushi to me was on par with high level fish-based sushi restaurants. I used to order frequently but it’s been a while and it’s no where near as good, honestly sub par. I found it so special before, such a shame.

Secret Garden is a good place to visit if you want to eat plant-based. The food wasn’t extraordinary, though. Some dishes had interesting ingredients, but they were lacking in their presence (not enough chili, wasabi mayo, teriyaki) which was a shame. Also, restaurant was severely understaffed: one waiter had to serve the entire restaurant on his own. He came across as stressed but did manage to bring the food on time. They serve a large variety of interesting cocktails. We ordered the Aperol spritz, for which we paid €8 or €8,50, but unfortunately our glass was half full. Would recommend going for a beer or soda instead so that you know what to expect. View menu
