"A quiet, clean pub in the Wetherspoon's chain, Goodman's Field has little or no character, and about as much charm as a variable rate ISA. However, we shouldn't really hold this against it since what it lacks in charm it also lacks in offence. It's a large, quiet, modern pub situated just round the corner from Tower Gateway. Like most Wetherspoons, it has themed kitchen nights, such as a Curry Night on Thursdays. The curry is bland but satisfying par for the course really, and is also very reasonably priced with generous portions. Where this pub does excel itself though, is in the selection of guest beers, ales and bitters. Ranging from an American bitter that weighs in at a hefty 8% abv (which while tasty does resemble a pint of mildly carbonated whisky) to a Dutch beer made with chocolate (which does taste as weird as it sounds), it's worth seeing what's on offer. If you fancy a quiet drink as you pass through the area, possibly as a resting spot before moving on, this large, quiet comfortable pub is probably right up your street. There is a plethora of seating, with a comfy area boasting several large leather armchairs, and two or three flat screen televisions showing sports at a low volume, when there is sport to show. Add to that the fact the pub is open on Sundays in an area of London usually devoid of life, and this pub is ideal when you have a large group of folk looking for a drink, and the company is more important than the venue. Be aware though there are better pubs in the area, such as The Dickens Inn, but Goodman's Field does fill a gap in the pub market, playing to those who don't like the hustle and bustle of a busy, mostly standing room only pub, but would like to sit down with friends, and chat over an inoffensive curry and a pint of beer with something interesting in it."

The food was decent, but it's a convenient and budget-friendly choice. Given its location, the prices are quite fair!

Quite cheap for its location. Cosy feeling, spacious and nice vibe. They support Ale variety, make sure you check every weekn for what's new. Would recommend, although be prepared to leave by 11.30pm on Fridays

Came here with my mum on our first morning in London. She had the traditional breakfast and I had the eggs benedict. Both were spot on for a Wetherspoons Pub. It was a rather large establishment charming place to come to as you sit yourself and order at the bar and they bring you your food. I'll be back again.

Great place to eat. Nice varied menu with nutritional info (ala USA style) Even had gluten free menu. The Fish and chips were excellent! Light crispy batter. They also have kids menu and small plates. This was right next to hotel where we stayed and a s very conveniently located to Tower. They also have a nice all you can Sunday Brunch, but I had already consumed my share of calories View menu

Great find near the Tower of London area. Great food and best of all great prices. You sit yourself down and order from the bar and they bring the food to your table. You can get a meal and a drink for less that $10 (US US for those of us visiting London), which is hard to beat around here! We came for breakfast and you can't beat the free refills on coffees. Will definitely come back and wish we would have found this place earlier during our time here in London. In short: great prices, good food and fast service.

You know Wetherspoons, so you know what you're getting, it is in a good area and since most of the places nearby are expensive, it is probably a good place to start your drinks if you are heading to Tower Hill area. The place itself is large, only one floor I think...unless there are stairs I've never seen. The food was good last time I ate, they have free Wifi, and always deals on shots. You know the deal. Open at the weekend too, which for the area, is an exception rather than the rule as the area shuts down over the weekend.

We visited this restaurant three times while staying in Whitechapel. It’s similar to an iHop in London, offering an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are also many drink options available, including wine, spritzers, cocktails, and beers. My wife especially liked the Treason IPA. One thing to note is that, unlike in American restaurants, you need to order at the bar and give your table number. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're looking for some great people-watching, I recommend sitting by the window nearest to the London Royal Hotel. View menu

The Jack Daniels Chicken Burger came with a substantial chicken breast and a thick, crispy coatingβ€”truly delicious! I have to confess, the chicken cutlet curry and the steak didn’t look very appealing at first, but it’s really what's inside that counts, right? The curry had a distinctive flavor that strayed from the Japanese style I’m used to, but it was still very enjoyable and not spicy at all. The steak was tender and full of flavor, definitely not chewy. The breakfast burrito may not win any beauty awards, but it was loaded with ingredients and tasted fantastic! On the downside, I wasn’t fond of the fries; I’m not used to thick-cut potato chips, and they just weren’t crispy enough for m...

It 's a Wetherspoons pub, so you know what you 're getting, and it 's absolutely fine. It 's a bit devoid of character perhaps the usual polished brass and patterned carpets, but the good thing about Wetherspoons is that they have a wide range of drinks, including real ales, craft beers, and their 'gin palace ' menu. I had a half pint of some sort of porter apologies that I can 't remember anything else about it I had been up since 5am and was so tired at that point that I could barely string a sentence together, never mind remember beer details. Although I do remember that I had a few swigs of my boyfriend 's Erdinger while he was at the bar, and it was lovely very refreshing. It 's fairly...
