Great food and atmosphere Caõimhe made us feel welcome and was a great host throughout the night so big shout out. I will definitely visit again when in tye area.

Caoimhe provided excellent service at the restaurant. She was a lovely and well-mannered girl, incredibly helpful and polite despite being busy. It was absolutely amazing.

The food was excellent and the service provided by Caoimhe was outstanding. I couldn't have asked for better customer service from someone who was so polite and helpful. I will definitely be returning.

Been coming here for a couple of years staying in the hotel next door. Food is always good but the service is excellent. Caoimhe served me tonight and she is so polite and cannot do enough to help you out. Will be back again.

We went for Sunday Lunch. The best part of any roast is the roast potatoes, but not here. You don 't get any boiled potatoes and the roast were more like cubes of sauteed potatoes, such a disappointment. We won 't be returning. The Waitress was a lovely girl who couldn 't do enough for us.

I've worked in hospitality and never know anything so crazy! We were a group of 8 who had to order in groups of 4 our food came out at separate times as they went through as separate orders! I just found it really bizarre and disappointing. Won't be returning as we felt really uncomfortable and we always so out for food as the same size group.

Food was very disappointing and chicken breast was way over cooked. Dried out and inedible. Crispy chicken strips were ok though. Sherry trifle was nothing like a trifle should be. Only a piece of dry sponge (definitely hadn’t seen any Sherry) and was topped by a lump of cream only. Told the waiter when asked if everything ok. He apologised and said he would tell chef, both times! Nothing done to rectify the matter. Will be telling everyone not to go there. We will not be making anymore visits.

Tonight was our first visit to the Shire Horse, and it was a very pleasant experience! The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a variety of tasty options, especially for vegetarians. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, with a special shoutout to Caoimhe (hopefully spelled correctly) who took care of us all night in a professional and kind manner. She always had a smile on her face and was easy to approach for any questions about the food and drinks. Thanks to her excellent service and the delicious food, we will definitely be returning soon!

Visited Friday 12th April 2024 for supper; genuinely warm and delightful service from Caoimhe who was so joyful, helpful and efficient. We all enjoyed our food which was tasty, well cooked and presented perfectly and quickly. We were about to order desserts when a major problem occurred which was completely beyond anyone’s control. The duty manager, Chris, kept us all up to speed with the issues in a calm, measured manner. As a result of the problem, we had to cut short our visit but we will be back to enjoy more times in this lovely restaurant/pub.
