"The SHIVA restaurant has been opened for nearly 20 years now and is an institution in town! herself. There are plenty of vegetarian options. If you 're vegan you can easily ask to have the vegetarian dishes without dairy or butter. Every time I go to the Shiva the chef already knows I want my baighan burtha without cream and my naan without butter : The owner is always willing to explain you all the details about his wife 's cuisine and advise you how you should properly eat Indian food (spices, etc... . I went to India a few years ago and I can say Shiva is one of the best Indian cuisine i 've ever tasted, definitely!"

I ordered a vegetarian Thali and asked them to make it vegan. The waiter told me it was possible but then the waitress brought me the Thali, containing a yoghurt dip.

We’ve been coming to Shiva, from California (where is there is plenty of Indian food) over 5 years now. We can’t recommend it enough. A warm welcome and delicious Indian food with incredible sauces. The Rogan josh and chicken vindaloo were so tasty. The women chefs will accommodate any dietary issue as well. A bit off the main track of the old city but we’ll worth the short walk. If you like Indian food and want a change from French cuisine, this is the place to go. We’re going back next week.
