Sim's Steak House - Menu

Best steak in the area. Both Sim and Ali operate an excellent restaurant in quality of food cooking standard and perfect front of house attention. Missed greatly since recent lockdown but visited three times in the the last ten days.

It would be easy to overlook this place it doesn't look much from the outside and the menu is a bit old hat but Sim's is a real gem. The husband and wife team were so friendly and attentive, the wine was excellent value and the steak was one of the best I have ever had in London!

Been twice since lockdown and on both occasions the perfect steak cooked to requirement (medium in my case). Great starters. All food served by friendly and efficient front of house staff. Owner chef comes out to speak to all tables at end of meal. Best steak house I have been to.

Having passed by Sim's several times, we finally decided to give it a try. We are glad we did because the steaks were amazing and offered great value. Even though the decor is a bit outdated, the meal was still excellent. It saved us from having to go into central London and pay double the price.

It is very sad that Sims and all other restaurants have had to close due the current situation.Sims has been our local restaurant for many years and we count Sim and Aliv as friends. We wish them and their family well and we like many of their regular customers will be there to support them when they return to the restaurant .

We returned to Sims to celebrate my husbands birthday along with our friends. As always a warm welcome awaited us. We all enjoyed excellent meals , four out of six of us had steaks including one who took on the mighty T.bone steak with homemade peppercorn sauce and won !. Generous portions and everything served hot and fresh. Lovely to see a much loved local restaurant open again . Booking is essential due to covid measures. Highly recommended .

I always feel incredibly welcome when I visit this restaurant. There is no rush to order and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The menu offers more than just steak, with options like fish and chicken. Everything on the menu is delicious and prepared fresh to order. This place is a hidden gem in south east London. Stop by, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. It is run by the lovely Sim and Ali, who provide fantastic service. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I had decided to bring my friend here as he is a steak lover and would not believe me that we would be eating a good of a steak as he had ever had. Sim convinced us that the way to go was a TBone which we did, both requested medium rare. Upon arrival at our table the steaks were huge, perfectly cooked and as good (if not better) than most I have eaten in my nearly 40 years flying around the world. Fussy friend had never had such a wonderful steak. Not going to mention anything else as everything more than adequate and the hosts were delightful but not overbearing. A little gem.

I have been a loyal customer of Sim and Aliv's restaurant for years, and it is always a pleasure to dine there. Recently, a friend and I stopped by after watching a show uptown. We were warmly greeted and indulged in a delicious meal of dips with hot pita bread, scampi, and chicken stuffed with ham and cheese, accompanied by a couple of drinks. Sim personally prepared and cooked everything, ensuring that it was fresh and tasty. The menu offers a variety of options, including Sim's famous steaks that are a must-try. This local spot not only serves great food but also provides friendly service. I highly recommend making a reservation for a guaranteed enjoyable dining experience.
