"Hotel is under new ownership. They are updating and it looks so much better than previous photos you may find on the internet. There’s still a ways to go. Beds are extremely “firm”. Individual rooms are decorated with lots of billowing dusty fabrics, and still need a lot of updating. You may be scalded while showering if another guest flushes the toilet or turns on the cold water anywhere in the building. The showers in general need to be addressed. Shower curtains were flimsy plastic that blow around while you shower and stick to you… which is not pleasant especially because they’re mildewed in places. The staff was extremely friendly. Sitting in the lounge and enjoying a drink from the bar was a highlight. The main area of the hotel is very nicely re-done, and staff treat you well. Would visit again as I met the owner and can tell he’s working to improve it."

"Spent two nights at this property £79 per night for an economy twin room). We had booked for hotel but on arrival we were accommodated in a different property, Station House, a very plain building across from the hotel. The room was very small, a single room being let as a double. No wardrobe, no suitable drawer space, nowhere to put our suitcases without either tripping over them or blocking the exit from our room. We were horrified to find that we were locked in the property on the first night and then locked out of it on the second evening when we arrived back at 9pm. The staff who released us and let us in seemed aware of the problem, which seemed to be caused by one of our keys being faulty. Very noisy from 6am, we suspect the building was being used for staff quarters or workers accommodation. There seemed to be a general lack of communication and customer care at this property, very overpriced too, really not fit for purpose. Would advise checking whether you will be in main hotel and whether your room will have the normal wardrobe, drawers etc that is normal in other accommodation."

"Today, my two children, aged 8 and 12, my parents, and I went out for lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day, and I must say, I’m still full! The service was excellent, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. The staff were friendly and had beautiful, smiling faces. The food was amazing, especially the fish, which was massive! Everyone enjoyed their meals. Two of us couldn’t finish our cake, so we brought some home to enjoy later. We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend this place. A lovely touch was that each mom received a small cupcake and the opportunity to enter a free raffle."

"Yesterday, I was craving a baked potato, but they had stopped serving it for the day. I asked Liam for a recommendation because I was unsure of what to order. He suggested the chicken fillet on the menu, highlighting that it was made with chicken breast and not processed chicken. It has quickly become my favorite dish to order. Thank you."

"I highly recommend trying the Chicken Tikka Garlic Chilli Masala, along with the Pizza, Kebab, and Pilau Rice. The food was exceptional, earning a solid 5 stars for its quality. The service was equally impressive, receiving a perfect 5 stars for efficiency and friendliness. The atmosphere, while not quite as outstanding, still deserves a respectable 4 stars. Whether you're in the mood for a flavorful curry or a classic pizza, you won't be disappointed!"
