"sojo is a real Chinese restaurant in oxford. very of our next gen recommened we decided to give it to midday on weekday. the menu informs us about the entrepreneur behind the chain. has become from hong kong to gentleman, who gave three Chinese restaurants from the 1970s oxford. the ambiente and the device are as expected. however, what catches an eye is the question on the menu to go the patrons over the regular bow or sweet n mad. we tried the sweet corn chicken soup, hot and sour soup, the dimm sum for one, salt and pepper chicken wings, soft nudels and kung-bowns. the Dim-Summe-Set is large and quite fill out especially the sticky rice dumplings. the noodles and the Kung-Bowns were delicious. the tables began to fill us soon. it is very popular. contempt."

Best. Chinese. Ever. Ask them to choose for you. They know what they are doing and every dish is amazing! Though if pressed go for the Slow Cooked Pork. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good value and quality food. Can't go wrong.

For me this is one of the best Japanese restaurant ever! So many days in Oxford have been spent wanting to eat here and many have been actually spent gorging at Sojo. It's a small place walking distance from the railway station and by god the food is heavenly! Highly highly recommended. View menu

Visited for early dinner on a Saturday. It was not too busy and felt quite relaxed. We got hot and sour soup and a selection of dim sum. As we were not too hungry it was good for the two of us to taste. The food was great. Tasty. Proper. Both the soup and the different dim sums. Worth going.

Centrally located and with parking space nearby this Chinees restaurant has the usual wide range of menu choices as well as four set menu's two of which are Dim Sum. Quality and taste of the food is good. The spicy dishes are indeed spicy and serving size is large. Interior is modern and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Visited on a busy Friday evening and service was fast.

There are lots of places I visit but don’t get round to writing about. Sometimes I can’t make up my mind what I think; sometimes I can’t remember what I’ve eaten; sometimes the day job gets in the way. That happens A LOT. But there are a few places from 2013 which, whilst not worthy of a full-blown post, or where the moment may have passed, are still worth a mention. Here we go: Pardis, London W2. View menu

one of the most difficult ways to draw from melbourne to oxford was the relative lack of good Chinese food in oxford. sojo has a decent task to offer authentic, local Chinese cuisine. we had the tomats and the ice, and the sojo black bohnentofu, and both were tasty, without being overwhelmed (as can often occur in less Chinese restaurants). the jasminreis was a little gloopy in texture and could have been fluffier. the staff was friendly and the restaurant environment was in order, although it sometimes became quite loud due to a group below an end of the restaurant.

the menu at sojo is huge. I mean really, really huge. this is always a bit a lie to the veggie; I was not particularly excited to have fought through the sides and sides of to try to choose the veggie options. but once again sojo underwent my expectations. sojo have helpful a separate vegetarian menu where they have brought together all veggie dishes from the main menu. this is widely offered via the usual three/four options on vegetarian menus; there are eight appetizers and twenty-two – yes, they heard me, twenty-two – available main courses. I honestly think I can't remember a time in my life where I had this great choice in a non-vegetarian restaurant.

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
