"The menu at this restaurant is predominantly meat-focused, making it challenging to find vegan options. After some searching, I discovered that all the vegetarian dishes are listed under the 'sides' section. I decided to try the Saag Aloo, which our server confirmed was naturally vegan and was incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, none of the naan options were vegan, and our server was not very helpful in exploring potential vegan modifications. Despite this, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. My partner enjoyed a vegan-friendly pad Thai from the Thai section of the menu, while our friends ordered the massaman curry, which was flavorful but unexpectedly spicy for their mild preference."

The staff were not welcoming and initially claimed to have vegan options, but ultimately offered a dish with cream. Disappointed, we decided to leave so we cannot provide a review of the food.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. Despite its unassuming exterior, the dining room upstairs is charming with waterfront views. The service is excellent, and they are able to accommodate vegans.

as a native we love to eat in oban. the spicy world offers a large selection of kitchen on various Asian menus. I would recommend to come here for a delicious meal. the personal is welcoming and eating is great. do not let them be cheated by negative reviews, try it for themselves!

here at the point of the moment. absolutely fantastic service and eating was brilliant. there was a light mix with our order to begin, but this was immediately sorted without fuss. first-class service has been received and the personal must be credited. in any case would recommend.

my friend and I had a big day on Sunday, May 1, 2022, we had a main course. the food was cooked to a very high standard and the rice and nan brot was perfect. personal friendly and professional as well as the sauvignon cooled. we look forward to the spice world when we return to oban.

Someone on trip advisor said that they can make anything vegan! I didn’t quite get that idea from them today, but I made sure the vegetable dish I wanted would be made vegan and the server was very accommodating. I asked for a vegetable dish to have chickpeas added which was really tasty (veg laziza) if you like chilli! Also the tandoori naan and veg paratha were vegan and delicious! My partner had veg Biryani and was also really good, with really nice curry sauce.

I have a table without waiting on a Monday night. I sat at the window with a beautiful view over the water to the mud. menu is a variety of Chinese, Indian and Thai choices. I have been for thai, which was amazing, full of spicy and much of it. my man had indian and said it was delicious. only something that made it give up was the rather rude fellow worker who took the command, he had no mercy and he pretended he was fed and in what we and others ordered, no eye contact or courtesy at all.

lunch menu was advertised outside as 3 courses for £7.95 we arrived at 1.30 and the lunch menu was offered from 12 -2. when we set ourselves, we got a menu with 3 curses for £9.95 ok, but when we ordered, we were told. the kitchen would close soon and could take the order for the 2 courses at once. both of them came together. Eating was okay, but once we were done, we were presented with our bill. when we were asked about the tea/coffee, we were told that the menus were updated and there were only 2 courses for £9.95

"We booked this restaurant after reading the reviews while touring Scotland what a disappointment. When we arrived we were shown to a table straight behind the door and as it kept opening and shutting it blew a massive amount of cold air in. As both parents and staff allowed 2 young children to go in and out every few minutes it got a bit much. We were given the menu and told specials were on the board. No description or recommendation. Also they did not say the board also goes over the top of the fish on didplay. I had crab claws to start the mayonnaise was lovely and what I could get out of the claws was nice but I was given no instruments to get into the claws and they were not broken enough for them to just pull out. I ordered the turbut for main as did my husband it was a small fillet with the skin correctly removed but it was loaded with garlic butter sauce you couldn't taste the fish for the garlic. Also which was worse I don't know what they did to the top of it but it was yellow and like thin rubber. We had to peel it off it was not good. I didn't complain at the time because I am not used to having a fillet of turbut. When I have had it before my husband and I have shared a turbut presented whole at the table. I have only written this today after speaking to some friends who said i should put something on because there had to be something wrong for the top of the fish to be yellow and leathery. You might guess but I won't be going back."
