"The menu at this restaurant is predominantly meat-focused, making it challenging to find vegan options. After some searching, I discovered that all the vegetarian dishes are listed under the 'sides' section. I decided to try the Saag Aloo, which our server confirmed was naturally vegan and was incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, none of the naan options were vegan, and our server was not very helpful in exploring potential vegan modifications. Despite this, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. My partner enjoyed a vegan-friendly pad Thai from the Thai section of the menu, while our friends ordered the massaman curry, which was flavorful but unexpectedly spicy for their mild preference."

Just had the best lamb vindaloo, special fried rice and kema naan. Food was amazing, but you get a lot of it, and it's all good.

We had their Indian lunchtime menu and it was great. Good value, good taste, fantastic views and pleasant staff. What more could you ask for?

The staff were not welcoming and initially claimed to have vegan options, but ultimately offered a dish with cream. Disappointed, we decided to leave so we cannot provide a review of the food.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. Despite its unassuming exterior, the dining room upstairs is charming with waterfront views. The service is excellent, and they are able to accommodate vegans.

here at the point of the moment. absolutely fantastic service and eating was brilliant. there was a light mix with our order to begin, but this was immediately sorted without fuss. first-class service has been received and the personal must be credited. in any case would recommend.

Someone on trip advisor said that they can make anything vegan! I didn’t quite get that idea from them today, but I made sure the vegetable dish I wanted would be made vegan and the server was very accommodating. I asked for a vegetable dish to have chickpeas added which was really tasty (veg laziza) if you like chilli! Also the tandoori naan and veg paratha were vegan and delicious! My partner had veg Biryani and was also really good, with really nice curry sauce.

lunch menu was advertised outside as 3 courses for £7.95 we arrived at 1.30 and the lunch menu was offered from 12 -2. when we set ourselves, we got a menu with 3 curses for £9.95 ok, but when we ordered, we were told. the kitchen would close soon and could take the order for the 2 courses at once. both of them came together. Eating was okay, but once we were done, we were presented with our bill. when we were asked about the tea/coffee, we were told that the menus were updated and there were only 2 courses for £9.95

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
