"This was ideal; if we have another opportunity we'll come again. Husband who can usually spot the cloud around any silver lining was happy as a clam with a huge cheese, tomato and pickle and other bits baguette type sandwich, and a variety of salads. I had a tortilla type slice with salads really tasty, colourful and looked like it was healthier than it probably was (such is life). And it would have been rude not to have cake, so we did. Chocolate and berry power ball for him (just because I thought it would be funny to give him what looked like a ball on a plate) and courgette and lime cake for me which was as a courgette cake should be, and I don't usually bother with cake. A bit of passionfruit in the cream cheese icing would have been nice but I'm being picky. If we can fit in another visit before the end of November (when the Marvin tax comes in), we definitely will. Well done, chaps. Great job, and thankyou. xx"

Visited on a weekday afternoon. The shop has a decent seating area in the sun outside. Lots happening on the high street. Good flat white.

We popped in on Saturday morning for a coffee and a pastry but had order rage, so returned on Sunday to indulge in a delicious breakfast ... and so glad we did! Highly recommend if you're in the area

This morning, we went to this restaurant for breakfast and I can confidently say that it was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the full breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. Even though it was busy, the service was excellent. View menu

This cafe, located in the heart of the city, offers a great selection of snacks. The tuna melt was delicious, and there were plenty of tasty cold sandwiches to choose from. The cakes also caught my eye with their enticing appearance. The cafe had trendy furniture and a relaxed atmosphere.

I've just had a marvellous breakfast of poached eggs and sourdough bread here and really can't fault the quality or service. The whole atmosphere is buzzy and energetic with a constant turnover of clientele, both older and young. Really excellent and well worth a visit at whatever time of day.

Recommended. I would argue that this is some of the best coffee in Bristol. The snag is the cafe is not that big (there are also now tables outside for use in good weather) and there is a limited number of comfy leather bench seats, so don't settle in for an extended stay. The food looks good/healthy though I never eat it. View menu

After walking round clifton trying to find a place that did brunch suitable for a gluten and dairy free diet we gave Spicer Cole a go. It was amazing one of the best brunches I've ever had. They do gluten free bread (which for some reason they don't advertise) and they even swapped out the sausage to an extra slice of bacon. Overall I was very impressed by the whole experience and the attitude of the staff (the guy behind the counter was so enthusiastic and happy to help which always makes such a difference). As a coeliac, finding places like this which treat allergies responsibly but don't make you feel as if it is a huge problem are hard to find. I will be back!

My partner and I visited this restaurant for breakfast this morning at 8:15. We ordered two coffees and two sandwiches - one halloumi with pesto and one sausage sandwich. After placing our order at the counter, we found a table to sit at. It took 10 minutes for our coffee to be served, and an additional 25 minutes before our sandwiches arrived. By that time, we had already finished our coffee. The sausage sandwich was okay, but unfortunately, they were out of pesto for the halloumi sandwich. The coffee was good, but the service was slow, the quality of the food was average, and the prices were expensive. Based on this experience, we do not plan on returning in the near future.

"Visited here in Sept 23 for an executive dinner that we were hosting for various senior business leaders. We booked out the whole venue, which was the perfect size and atmosphere for the intimate and exclusive feel that we wanted, plus a convenient location. The TV that shows into the kitchen was fascinating, and the record player was put to use towards the end of the evening! Caroline from the venue helped us organise the event in advance and was great to deal with. We were fortunate with the weather so were able to enjoy a welcome drinks reception out the front of the venue, and have the door open all evening to let the balmy night in. We had the 7 course taster menu and it was simply OUTSTANDING so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, particularly the beef steak course! It was so tasty that I even enjoyed the fish dish (not usual for me! . Service on the night was exemplary, the courses were brought out at just the right intervals so you weren't waiting ages but also not being rushed. The chef came out to greet us after the final course, which was a lovely touch and meant we could thank him. Overall, we had really great feedback from our guests, everyone loved it thank you for making our event such a success! We would definitely book again, and I know a few of our guests have already recommended it to their own companies for executive dinners! Would not hesitate to recommend."
