"Always like to come to star and garter but next time I will make sure I request boot to sit in. We were on very wobbly table. Good choice of food but a bit pricey The burger I had was yummy but nothing to wow for the price. Staff very friendly. Bar seemed to only have one staff on working that evening and the girl did a good job. We then sat in the bar area where music was very laud. Over all not a bad evening."

Hi think we caught the in between shifts on service, this is a regular for us and would say this is an off day and maybe 4pm on a Sunday is not a good time to dine

Food and service was excellent. It’s hard to find a Sunday roast that focuses on plenty of veg as well as the meat And roast potatoes etc but this was lovely! Loads of flavour

One of the best meals I've had in a while,good selection of beers and other drinks (although helen thought that a grapefruit gin at £9.50 was a bit steep) staff were very good and attentive Will definitely be going there again For those how in the area it's a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping street towards the fie station

Staff and service was very good on this quiet Wednesday evening. I ordered the aubergine and lentil curry and quite honestly it was pretty tasteless. The rice was stodgy with no seasoning and the curry itself lacked any real flavour and had no sauce. I wouldn’t serve something so lacklustre to my family let alone in a restaurant. Come on people, you can do better than this.

Our local, so we go as often as we can. Extremely noisy on what was a very busy Friday night! Food was excellent as always, and the specials board was nice and varied. Service was a little slow at times; we ordered water, a glass of red wine, a cider and a bottle of rose wine. The other drinks arrived but the bottle of wine was considerably delayed and, I suspect, has been forgotten.
