"We decided to visit Steep Street Coffee House again today and were fortunate enough to secure a table in this cozy and popular cafe. We both enjoyed our lunch, with my partner having a bagel and a croissant, while I indulged in the delectable pumpkin spiced latte cake. This cake left me almost speechless - it was moist, flavorful, and wonderfully light. It may be one of the best slices of cake I've ever had (and I've had quite a few), so I highly recommend it. The portions were also very generous. We also appreciated that our dog was welcomed warmly and made himself right at home in the cafe."

Here at the moment. Brie baguette was the best ever had. Served with a leaf salad. Good quality tea and coffee. Crumble cake a little dry but good. Highly recommended stop in sad old folkestone

Staff are super friendly, we came here 3 times in a weekend for coffee and cake and everything was brilliant. Staff are all wearing PPE which made it feel covid secure. They have vegan options and savoury food as well and both indoor and outdoor seating on the charming Old High St

This is our granddaughter's favourite coffee shop so we love to come as a family. The amazing fresh cakes are why we always come back. I saw there is the option for contactless ordering if you wanted to, or alternatively you can order at the counter with social distancing which is good to see.

Came in for my lunch break today, I had a Brie and bacon baguette and a mini ham and cheese quiche.... Absolutely beautiful! Lovely lunch, perfect considering I had to return to work. I was served by the lovely lady with brown/blonde curly hair, whose service is impeccable. Beautiful place with wonderful staff. Very happy View menu

My family and I recently met up at a charming café that offered a variety of alternative milk options. The atmosphere was wonderful, with walls adorned with shelves filled with books. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the following day for some coffee and cake, which were both delicious and served in generous portions. I would highly recommend this place.

Its a coffee shop, on steep street, a street in Folkestone that is steep, and it is rather good. A few socially distant tables inside and a long arm of orange furniture stretching up the hill. Order coffee from the counter and choose cake (don't think it matters which one, they all look full of yum) I went for banana bread with warm honey, and everything is brought to you. Track and trace details are done by individual forms, put in a box, a great way to protect personal data and the staff a friendly and helpful.

"When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures. Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent. We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come. We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special. The food is delicious especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine. The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean. On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team. You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family run vibe. I am sure Costas is very proud of his team and what they have accomplished, and they fully deserve all of the praise and recognition they get. Parking: Facing the restaurant, to the right hand side is a small car park with a handful of spaces. Note that you should not park there before 6pm as I think it is shared with local residents. If you are not lucky enough to get a spot, try Manor Road we’ve never failed to find parking there."
