"This café in a charming village is really lovely. Even though it was packed, the manager kindly allowed us to sit in a section that was usually closed off. The service was speedy and efficient. The cream teas were generous and tasty. My son raved about the chips that came with his toastie, saying they were the best he's ever had. The kids were a bit let down that their milkshakes were made with powder or syrup rather than being thick shakes, but to be fair, they weren't advertised as such. The assortment of cakes all looked mouthwatering, but unfortunately, we were too full to give them a try."

Came here after a cold walk around Beaulieu, nice friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Lovely food and a great hot drink selection

Loved the to go cafe !! Simply the best hot chocolate ever. I cannot recommend the orange hot chocolate and the mint one with cream enough. It is so smooth, warming and is worth travelling just to have it.

Visited Steff’s kitchen while we were staying in the New Forest in January. We walked from Bucklers Hard so we were famished by the time we got there ! Had a lovely club sandwich and chips very well catered for my Gluten Free needs. Quick and efficient service highly recommended

really good eating options. beautiful sitting corner outside the street. no interiors. helpful staff. the lunch was supplemented by many garden birds picking at the crumbs (hence the picture). only stopped for sandwich, but was very nice experience. local products were possible. question

Recently we went in on a cold day and had a delicious bowl of tomato and basil soup with fresh slice of bread. Absolutely delicious. Today we went in for a quick lunch and opted for a shared club sandwich (complete with chips). Again an excellent meal along with attentive staff. Highly recommended.

I've been here many times and I wasn't disappointed. many seats with place to move. toilets clean. they help themselves in a bottle that is provided at the water station. different selections of specials per week as well as a standard menu. Club sandwich was delicious and very full with crispy chips. beautiful large cake. the Christmas-Turkish delicacies cake was amazing. in any case worth a visit.

The rude lady running the place needs to go on a management class how to talk to customers. I can understand the place was busy but twice she was rude to us.. to the point we cancelled our order and ate at a lovely cafe on the High Street. Have been here before.. not again save your money and visit other places nearby where the ambience is more relaxed staff know how to treat customers.. waiting staff just rude lady behind bar..

the co-worker kitchen in the Fairwetter garden center in beaulieu was our first visit today. it was pretty busy, but we sat right away and took our drinks. an extensive menu with a lot of choice. food came without much delay and was delicious and fresh. after eating we had a good walk through the garden center itself. good variety of plants, pots and all the extras they would expect. in the inner is a very good gift shop with everything from kissen to coasters. good eating, good staff and much to see when they are close to drop in.

"My Wife and I don't travel so well these days but decided to go a little further afield from our usual Highcliffe and Christchurch haunts we live in Mudeford. We went twice in point of fact. The first visit was the 21st June when My wife and I had a quiet Birthday celebration lunch prior to the Family celebration later in the day. It was excellent. We only had the Mains and despite it being busy and not having booked we were served promptly and cheerfully with a round of drinks. My Wife had Chicken Pie and I had Liver and Bacon. Both were excellent and my Wifes vegetables were freshly done. I don't have vegetables. We liked it so much we went back three days later to celebrate our youngest Daughters birthday and again had lunch before the Family celebration later in the day. The meal was as fabulous as three days prior. My Wife had a Chicken Roast, our Daughter had Beef Roast and I had an amazingly well filled Steak and Merlot Pie of the Week. As before the vegetables were freshly done. Unusually for us we also had puddings (Lemon Meringue, Bailey's Cheescake and Apple Tart with Custard. All were excellent. All washed down with Tea and a Latte the former being served in nicely twee Teapots. Total cost £80 for the three of us on the second visit. Worth every penny. All in all First Class and couldn't fault it. Disabled parking nicely located in the front with ample parking for those more mobile at the side and back. Just a note for History buffs. The main building was built in 1853 by John Harrison(? a Carpenter thus the name Carpenters Arms."
