A great welcome, good menu, fast service and good pint Staff couldn’t do enough and a nice mix of people enjoying either lunch or a quiet drink.

The Yorkshire puddings defy description and I am not sure I would have served them with a straight face! With a number of menu items restricted due to food intolerance and no opportunity to swap items this was a genuine disappointment.

I visited last Friday and was really impressed by the two members of staff who served us, they couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The fruit tea was amazing. The jacket cheese and beans was lovely and very reasonably priced. I look forward to going back there. View menu

I have been before and have always been pleased. This time the place was almost empty being past the rushour. There was over an hours wait for the meal to be served,and over an hours wait for the desert, despite no- one else waiting for food.there was no explanation or apology, i won't be going again

A lovely local with lovely staff. Been coming here for years on and off with friends and family. Have just enjoyed an outstanding lunch with one of my sons. Asked for a recommendation and Nikki Lily suggested I try one of the new dishes from the specials board which Ryan had made honestly, the best meal I’ve ever had in here. Would thoroughly recommend it. Good choice ladies!!

Popped in for a light lunch, both husband and I had a sandwich both of which were very fresh and served with a side salad and tortilla chips. All the staff were very good, the young waitress, Lauren, was a joy! bubbly and very friendly, what an asset to the pub. Ordered scampi and chips but scampi very dry then realised some of the balls had no scampi in. Daughter ordered chicken, bacon and avocado salad, no avocado!! Asked but lady serving seemed a bit offended. She did bring some on a separate plate. The young girl server was brilliant. Very attentive and apologetic. In fairness chefs probably didn’t know about the scampi if no one else had mentioned it. Otherwise clean surroundings and other 2 meals good. Also gave us 2 free desserts which were delicious.

A party of 7 ladies decided on a Lunch. Booked some days before hand, on arrival was informed we were not expected. Staff member showed us to a table . The Staff were friendly the Meal was very pleasant, plenty of it. Served in nice time. Just before we finished were getting ready to leave it was mentioned that we were booked in should have had a very nice round table near a large window. This would have suited us better as the youngest person was was 76 eldest 91! Prices for 2 for 1 made it better on our purses.

Took my mum out for lunch, as came here at Christmas 2022 with a friend. Staff came over and asked what we like to drink as it was cold I ordered a tea and cappuccino it arrived I had to sent the cappuccino back as it was cold waiter apolgize and got me another, which wasn't much better so I asked for a pot of hot water to keep the coffee warm. We had a small roast dinner, beef was slice wafer thin beef shop bought not proper beef, roast potatoes and parsnips could of been a bit crisper. The gravy was tasty though. Pudding mine was misleading I thought I'd get lemon sponge with lemon sauce on top and custard only to have a lemon icing cake and custard so don't order lemon sponge as you"ll ge... View menu
