"I would rate Summat to Ate a zero or minus rating if I could. They took money for a wedding, then on the day they changed everything, said no aggressively to things that had been paid for and promised, had the bride in tears, all the wedding guests stood in the street and had ruined the happiest day of a couples life. This has cost the not very happy couple a lot of money, as well as lost memories. The whole wedding party had to move to another venue with no notice (who were amazing and the wedding guests had to move food/dj equipment in their cars, after this place ruined everything, just to try and salvage the day for them. Great Food, Great Prices, Great Service. Too many things are good about this place. It certainly doesn't get the credit it deserves, if you haven't been, get down there and give it a try!!

the eating was excellent, it is a scandal that the service was not on the same standards that man behind the bar was rude and he lacked the basic customer service ability to work in front of the house .

Fantastic food, fantastic prices, amazing staff! I could not recommend this place enough. I had the hot rock experience, as did the majority of our party, a new concept for me but loved it. Highly recommend you pay them a visit.

visited here several times since the opening in the opposite. eating is always top notch and personal always helpful. I even remember some months after my last visit, which was a nice note. I go to the restaurant if in the opposite and occasionally a way for the lunch menu.

had the best culinary experience in summat to ate imaginable in this week! the food served on the hot skirt was to die for the staff was so friendly and helpful to explain how to use it! it made the night so much more fun! they also have a few functional spaces that they can rent so that I go back this week to book one for my birthday party! I can't wait!

visited last week after several recommendations by friends. can't believe I tried it earlier. the hot rocks were super fun and the steak was beautiful. the dame that served us was also beautiful (forget her name. sorry.) very pre-stressing and could not do enough for us, although the restaurant is full of great at night here and will soon be visited again.

Brilliant Food. This place is fab! The food is excellent quality and the staff were attentive and friendly. I had a mini lamb hot pot for my starter and it was lovely, just a perfect size. My boyfriend had the scallops. My boyfriend had a steak on the hot rock and he loved the idea of the hot rock! I had the pork steak which was delicious, the sauce was yummy! Will definately return, and midweek they do a special offer of 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £15.95 you cant beat that!!

This Place Rocks!. Been here 3 times, each time as part of a large family party Every visit has been excellent food great, service good, menu had good selection a real novelty meal, steaks on a hot rock, which all age groups (age 11 up to 55) loved. The staff were very accommodating for our large party and were happy to provide plates and forks for our own birthday cake We will definately visit again and we would also recommend it. We were only disappointed once and that was when we phoned to book a table only to find they were full that evening WELL RECOMMENDED!

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
