"saw good review from TA and decided to give it a try even though it was more expensive than neighboring restaurants. the menu was 35eur but it didn't had the items i wanted.i wanted foie gras entree and margret de canard as the plat, however the waiter/server/staff waiting at the street told me he could customize the menu for me for additional 5eur. i decided to give it a try. first up was an appetizer which featured salmon in s shot glass..i can't really tell what the cream/sauce is composed of but it was delicious. the 'pain' served was pretty nice as well. then came my foie gras, the plating was nice and the 'pomme' slices that accompanied the foie gras was yummy. the foie gras itself passed my expectation though i have had better before. up next was the famed french margret de canard. it was served with wok-styled carrot and cucumber(i think) strips and it was absolutely delicious. the margret itself was however slightly disappointing, the meat was more toward medium well rather than medium rare(which i believe is the right way to have this dish) and also the fat(which is the key to this whole dish) was lacking. it wasn't bad, but i had high expectations of this as i have had really good margret de canard before(at cheaper prices). all i can say is that the sides are more outstanding than the mains...not sure if this is a compliment or not though..lol.i had the strawberry soup with vanilla ice cream for dessert, as it was something i had not tried in france yet(the other choices were tiramisu and creme brulee if i recalled correctly). it was good, even though the soup was a little sour(most strawberries in france are sour rather than sweet from my experience).the service so far was good and smooth until when i called for the bill. the staff asked me for a tip and when i said no(it is not customary to tip in france..their prices are high enough already), i could sense a little discontent and as expected, there wasn't a "merci, au revoir" or "bon journee" after. therefore the missing last star..."

At the Suquet Premier right now with my bf. the terrace is nice but the secret is the rock inside. It's very romantic. Rose and seafood for me and steak for my bf. it's really a lovey evening. Servers are fast and polite. The owner is a charming gentleman with a lot of wine knowledge.

Although you have to be quick (because outside tables at restaurants in this part of town disappear in a blink), bagging yourself an al fresco spot here will not leave you feeling disappointed. With a good selection of Provençale food on the menu, some nice wines and a attentive staff, the value isn't bad either, with three courses, some wine and water coming to €85.

We chose this restaurant due to the previous good reviews. You are drawn in by the friendly waiters front of house & by the good menu. However, once inside, we received very rude & hostile treatment by one of the waiters that left a very sour taste in my mouth!!!And especially as we paid 180 euros!!I would definitely NOT return to this restaurant if he thinks treating paying customers like that is acceptable!! This restaurant is out of place on this touristic restaurant street, which is beautiful, especially the stairs taking you up the street just where the St. Antoine ends and Rue du Suquet starts. Suquet Premiere is at that junction. Three course menu is 32 Euros, similar to many places here. We had it last night so this time we went for the Provencal palette for 2 and the pierrades - seafood on a hot stone and a beef fillet on a hot stone. Delicious. Two half bottles of red and rose Minuty Bailly made it a perfect evening.

My fiance and I came here because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor. The food was good, although only one of the 3 dishes we ordered was outstanding (the goats cheese salad). Unfortunately, after spending over 100 euro between two and choosing not to leave a tip, the waiter put an extra 10% on our bill which we only noticed after card payment was processed. We got the money back in cash, but we left feeling tricked and it was a disappointing end to the night. The location is great but there are plenty of other options nearby.
