"Had a carry out last night and dont think we will be rushing back!!!!!!!!! We are normally pleased with our food but last night was horrendous, The food was to ready for a pick up at 7pm,(I think our food had been ready way before 7pm) when we got the food home, the naan bread was stone cold and the food was luke warm, thank the lord for plates being heated up in the oven. The guy front of house was weariing a pair of jeans and a dirty tee shirt as was the guy who came out the kitchen. There was too much sauce compareed to the amount of meat, and te sauces were pretty tasteless. I'm thinking here must be new people n here and its not for te better, so very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Also a greasy spoon cafe. Went in here for early lunch as not busy . Soon found out why sadly. We ordered coffee and toastie each. Good coffee (hence 1 but tables greasy and the worst toastie I have had in the UK. Only stayed as my husband liked the view!

We are staying in Tarbert and came to the restaurant in search of a chinese takeawayl We both had lovely food having recently gone back to vegetarianism i was able to have a sag dal and a separate aubergine side dish with egg fried rice. The hubby had pilau rise, a sag bagee and a lamb dish. We shared a garlic nan and kept smacking our lips as we piled in back at our holiday home. Quick, clean, good sized portions, lovely sauces. Thank you!

The only Indian restaurant in Tarbert, this small establishment will bring joy to curry enthusiasts. Under new management, it currently does not hold a liquor license so patrons can bring their own alcohol. The appetizers are made fresh and have a fantastic taste. The sauce on my dish was a bit too spicy for my liking, so the chef prepared a different one for me. When that was still too hot, I requested a side of yogurt. To my surprise, a third, milder sauce was offered to me. It is rare to find a restaurant that goes to such lengths to please their customers. Well done.

Went here with my wife on a Thursday around 5.30. The place was empty on arrival. The youngish waiter like other people have already said was very pushy and shouldn't have been taking orders. Although looking at him a wash and a change of clothes would have been a start. My prawn puri was awful the puri not bad but the prawns in sauce was like prawns in orange water. Onions were raw in both main meals and the sauces were made from jar paste. Got sick of hearing the microwave pinging prob defrosting meat. Absolutely terrible from start to finish. Go to the taj mahal in Lochgilphead much better and they are happy and smiling throughout.

"We booked this restaurant after reading the reviews while touring Scotland what a disappointment. When we arrived we were shown to a table straight behind the door and as it kept opening and shutting it blew a massive amount of cold air in. As both parents and staff allowed 2 young children to go in and out every few minutes it got a bit much. We were given the menu and told specials were on the board. No description or recommendation. Also they did not say the board also goes over the top of the fish on didplay. I had crab claws to start the mayonnaise was lovely and what I could get out of the claws was nice but I was given no instruments to get into the claws and they were not broken enough for them to just pull out. I ordered the turbut for main as did my husband it was a small fillet with the skin correctly removed but it was loaded with garlic butter sauce you couldn't taste the fish for the garlic. Also which was worse I don't know what they did to the top of it but it was yellow and like thin rubber. We had to peel it off it was not good. I didn't complain at the time because I am not used to having a fillet of turbut. When I have had it before my husband and I have shared a turbut presented whole at the table. I have only written this today after speaking to some friends who said i should put something on because there had to be something wrong for the top of the fish to be yellow and leathery. You might guess but I won't be going back."
