"What a FANTASTIC day. Just done a chocolate making class with my friend Sandra. The tutor and also the owner Tony, was absolutely fantastic and also has a great sense of humor. He showed us how to make the chocolates he sells in his shop from start to finish. If you are a looking for something different to do or to treat someone, I highly reccomened you give this a go. "Went to the recent reopening as a long-time fan of The Pod. The food is always different, and always inspired. Service is genuinely warm, as the pricing is humble and inclusive. The restrictions for COVID were very clear and easy to follow, and we felt very at ease during the lunch. The Menu is carefully selected, guided by dieticians, and for Vegan food out, hands down the best balanced meal one can get in Coventry, possibly even the Midlands, in my experience. There's no judgement or vegan propaganda whatsoever, and carnivores, pescatarians etc will not feel shortchanged in the slightest by the offerings. The Pod as an establishment is also a great hub for creatives and creative-thinkers, with echoes of cultural flourishings such as Time Union, Food Union, Supper Clubs, and other events. It remains welcoming to newcomers and tourists, and the serving system is relaxed and straight-forward with options for Gluten Free and clear indications for Nut Allergies. I would highly recommend anyone eating out in Coventry to try The Pod at least once!"

"Went here for the first time recently, absolutely love how customisable and affordable everything is. The vegan cheese isn’t the best and sort of gets lost at times, but you still get a nice creamy taste. The vegan fried chicken is good too. Would like to try the blondie but it looks a lot smaller on the counter than I was expecting. Would recommend booking aheadand ask for the vegan menu."

"Food was not fresh, lumpy couscous, cold and stodgy potatoes. Nothing like the original cafe rouge, did not represent value for money. Far too expensive for what it was. We would not go there again. A clearly struggling chain with a tiny menu ... strangely enough little was actually French cuisine. Sorry for bad review but that was disappointing and I would really like my money back."
