"Wow what an experience! The restaurants is situated inside an adorable wooden maison, from the moment we entered we felt welcomed in this cozy and curated space. We went to celebrate my birthday and we had one of the most amazing meals in Switzerland, I’m not joking. I’ve been living in the area for 8 years and I find it hard to get good varied food, homemade, tasty and with good genuine ingredients. Restaurant Les Collines has gone above and beyond. The service was just impeccable and the energy of Maud and the staff and the passion they show throughout the whole service truly contributed in making this experience absolutely memorable. The food is very well presented and delicious. We had the slow cooker pork and the filet for main courses. We loved it so much that the next day we went again for a quick lunch (highly recommend the chefs fondue). Thank you for this great experience and we will certainly be back again soon!"

"J’ai reçu un bon de la part de Madame Elisabeth, pour des services rendus durant l’h 2017/ 2018. Ce dont je la remercie infiniment !J’ai profité de ce bon, pour fêter mon anniversaire avec une superbe raclette. Le fromage était excellent... du fromage de chez nous, servi avec grande classe par Madame Elisabeth. Dommage que j’ai été opéré de l’estomac... car j’aurais mangé plus.La Montanara est un magnifique restaurant où Madame Elisabeth et son fils Loïc vous reçoivent avec une énorme gentillesse et une grande classe. La terrasse qui entoure une partie du bâtiment est superbe... on y a une vue superbe sur les montagnes entourant le Restaurant et sur le village d’Évolène... La Montanara, un magnifique Restaurant que je peux recommander à tout un chacun.Madame Elisabeth et à toi Loïc, je vous souhaite une excellente continuation... avec plein de clients heureux de venir manger chez vous.Maurice Althaus, un ancien chef de cuisine."

"a mixed salad with a taste of clove of clove that dominates everything, a small blue cord accompanied by fries and vegetable (I was still hungry.) the wine was excellent (syrah) and the nice service (but not good. the next table first got his fondue, then these mixed salads. And we got the bread pieces from the melt to accompany our salad. It's really okay, but funny.)"

"Possibly the best stay we had on the Haute Route. An easy day meant we arrived by 1 o'clock and were given a room with bunks for four. We had it to ourselves, so were able to wash a few things and hang them in...the window without disturbing anyone else. The room was spacious, with a large wardrobe and a couple of chairs. A large window looked out onto the distant mountains and nearby houses, where hay or silage-making was going on in small meadows. We had a lunch of beer and sandwiches: really hefty slices of beautiful fresh bread, generously laden with cheese, ham and pickles. Dinner was excellent, in a convivial atmosphere of combined travellers and locals, and the breakfast plentiful enough. The hosts are welcoming and efficient, the place is old and cozy, with creaking wood floors, stairs and walls. Everyone sat in the sunshine on the terrace, but there is also a communal sitting room upstairs with comfy chairs, a big table and charging points, which would be welcome in bad weather. The showers, wcs and washing sinks (mixed and a little public) were clean and sufficient for quite a full house. Overall, we loved this place. Don't miss it."

"we were one night on the haute route. When we arrived, we said we had no reservation. fortunately our guide had the confirmation that we did, but the manager had neglected the reservation in his book....Leidend...for us there were 4 of us in a room with 4 bunks very old and krickety maybe 1940; the other part of the group was connected to a room with 6 bunks all....again old and rrickety. there were a couple of bathrooms throughout the entire square along with a shower room. there was a beautiful terrace on the side that seemed very popular. the evening meal was quite good in anbetracht spaghetti and meat sauce before thee and followed by dessert. rosemarie was the only server in the afternoon/besidesvery pleasant woman. the breakfast consisted of broth and rolls and cheese and jam together with hot water heatsen for tee and instant coffee so a bit on the thin side. because the hotel had not been recording from ours, we were grateful for a place to sleep and eat!"
