"We went to this restaurant due to the good reviews and pictures of delicious lobsters. Unfortunately we were disappointed to learn that lobsters need to be ordered 24 hours in advance. To overcome our disappointment we ordered the seafood tasting platter which came with oysters, prawns, sea snails and a glass of wine. The oysters were delicious, unfortunately the other items were not. The glass of wine was not actually included and we were charged separately for it. We also ordered calamari, which was very tender however the batter and oil was a bit much and we could not finish it. The wait for our drinks was very long we had finished our meal before they arrived after we reminded staff. We also noticed that locals could order moules mariniere, however we did not see these on the menu we were given. I hope that these are just teething issues and everything will come together as the summer season continues."

This place is a complete disaster. The food is not good, the service is totally confused. We ordered fish which in both cases were overcooked. We got soggy pommes instead of potatoes and as we pointed this out to the staff all we got was I 'm sorry If you want good food, go somewhere eller.

View menu

Terre et Mer is a small family owned restaurant with fabulous, fresh, locally sourced food. We totally enjoyed our meals in 2022 do we returned to dine at Terre et Merre 3 times while staying in Juan les Pins this May and June. The sea bass was simply over the top delicious and my mouth still waters thinking about the fresh vegetable medley served with the fish. The prices are resonable and the services is friendly and effiecient. We are already planning our trip for 2024, and Terre et Mer is at the top of our list for must do restaurants.

This place is a very simple restaurant in Juan les Pins. Seems to be family owned and operated. The menu is pretty short not too uncommon around here. They do one thing, and they do it well. The fish dishes (Sea Bass and Sea Bream) were both very good. The prawn appetizer wasn't that great. The shrimp come without being de veined or shelled, so it's a mess and takes some of the enjoyment away. That said, the champagne on their list is very good. The patio wasn't that big and was a little disappointing for our brunch plans. You're basically in the middle of the sidewalk with people walking by you on the way to the beach. If you want lobster or some of the specialty fish, you need to order 24...

"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."
