This is a fantastic place to visit! It's dog-friendly, offers great value for the food, and boasts beautiful views all around.

again visited and not disappointed. the best beef and vegetables. the bark was really melted in the mouth and the sweet was made to perfection. the personal is fabulous and the atmosphere is beautiful.

This pub is simply delightful, especially during the summer when all the flowers are in full bloom. The Christmas lights are also beautiful; it’s clear that the owners invest a lot of time and effort into decorating. Its location by the canal adds to its charm, and the food is quite good too. Went there for a bite to eat on nice evening, but most things on menu were sold out so we just settled for a nice cold beer. Sitting outside the we relaxed with our dog watching the various craft passing bye, or stopping off for a drink. Linked to a adult only caravan park. Dog friendly. Seems to be very popular for the good weather! Food that was being served looked good.

The Blue Lias is a lovely place to enjoy a relaxing drink and a delicious lunch, enhanced by great service. The facilities are excellent, including clean restrooms, ample parking, and, most importantly, an outdoor dining area alongside the canal. We had a delightful and leisurely lunch while watching the narrowboats and observing the local wildlife at a calm pace. It was exactly what we needed after the past few months of restrictions, where seeing most people wearing masks and practicing social distancing was a beautiful sight.

I stayed overnight at this restaurant while making my way up the flight of locks. The food and beer were excellent, and the service was attentive. The layout was quite unique, featuring tables set up in different styles of 'booths'—it was quirky but enjoyable. It was clearly a popular spot for locals, and the bar area buzzed with some lively 'pub politics' discussions, reminiscent of a time when pubs didn't have to serve food to survive. The locals were warm and welcoming, as was the landlord. Unfortunately, my early departure the next morning was delayed due to an empty pound a couple of locks away.
