"A pub which reminds me of canalside dining when I first did it 32 years ago. Boaters and locals happily chatting together, charming and pleasant staff, nothing fancy food or drinkwise, just traditional pub food and drink, but what they do is done really well. We had a home made Lasagne with a surprisingly lovely side salad (often it is literally just for appearances, but this had lots of tasty and crunchy ingredients in a glorious sweet dressing) and gooey cheese topped garlic bread. Amongst other things we had a normal chilli and a vegetarian chilli, both were delicious an enormous rack of ribs and Biscoff cheesecake which put a big smile on my face!!! Bill was smaller than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate to go back."

What a superb canal side pub! Incredibly friendly staff, really cosy, warm and welcoming. Really good food which is first rate and reasonably priced. Ignore the gastro pubs and spend some time here. You absolutely won't regret it!

This pub located by the canal serves traditional pub food in generous portions. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The moorings are reasonably priced but can get crowded at peak times. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

Disappointing. After reading reviews I'd expected better than ordinary, unimaginative pub food, but that's all we got. I felt mildly embarrassed that I'd brought friends there. Though I've always liked the place, I shalln't bother to eat there again. View menu

The service at this restaurant was excellent, even on a busy hot day. The girl behind the bar was lovely, working hard with a smile and great care. It was our first visit on our narrowboat and we will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

I recently enjoyed the best fish I've had in a long time at this restaurant. It was fresh, flavorful, and very affordable. The staff, especially Emma, were lovely and welcoming, and even the chef took the time to chat with us. It's a great little pub with a charming atmosphere.

Visited on recommendation and not disappointed, wonderful food and couldn’t resist the Faggots. Faggots are meatballs made from minced off-cuts and offal mixed with herbs and sometimes bread crumbs. It is a traditional dish in the United Kingdom, Friendly staff and a warm welcome, lovely location View menu

Doing the Warwickshire Ring we stopped here one night. We have been before and decided to go again even though there were a few other locals we hadn't tried before, we enjoyed it last time so why risk another place. Really lovely atmosphere in the restaurant area lies of friendly locals and a buzzing feel. Food is great for three money. 4 of us are for under £60 including drinks. Great portion sizes, seemed fresh and tasty. Left feeling full and glad we went again. Traditional in look so not a modern sleek place but if you want local pub this is the one to go to.
