"we were on a late morning visit and tied lunch so this was a first visit. when we had the dog with us, we sat outside, but in the covered area. at the bar and the staff very friendly ordered. my wife had beer battered fishing finger sandwich I had blt. both came with a little bite and crawling with a nasalate. my wife sandwich was excellent, but mine had a little brot. asked if they had salat dress or saw and was said no!? the fish fingers were big and she was very happy, but as I have a little disappointed with my blt especially at the price of good that we have in the position to have the dog with us, but overall can only say average and expensive for what they get."

Sat outside on the pier as we had our two dogs with us. Staff were friendly and professional. We both had the fish finger sandwich which was delicious and well presented. Coffees were also good. Lovely location on the pier so understandably slightly more expensive...but worth it.

A friend chose to have breakfast here following a recommendation. Was a bit apprehensive as could not find a menu online for breakfast and the other half is gluten free. The breakfast menu did not have any indications of gluten free options. However the staff...were helpful and he manged to have a full breakfast with some alterations. Would definitely come here again

first visit this year and not disappointed at a sunny day outside on the boulevard. bacon roll and coffee, very good. good points, clean table, sauce bottles top clean from product inside, that is good. bad point, unfortunately the menu with eating inside was dirty, it would have been so easy to encapsulate the menus in plastic, then they could be deleted after each use with sanitizer. we visited boardwalk caffe with my son and it was a perfect evening. we sat in the winter garden and met a beautiful dog so we promised to bring our dog. eating was exquisite, loved the specialties I had white baits and seafood platter, and my son had sampi. it was nicely served, price was as expected and we had rest we could take home. it is amazing and leo, our server, was super friendly and nice. in any case will be back to visit!

I visited this restaurant for the first time this year and was not disappointed. It was a sunny day and I enjoyed sitting outside on the boulevard. The bacon roll and coffee I ordered were very good. The tables were clean and the sauce bottles were also well-maintained. However, the only downside was that the card menu with the food options was dirty. It would have been a good idea to encase the menus in plastic so they could be easily wiped down with sanitizer after each use.

After our recent visit, we found that the coffee prices in the city are still the highest. While the coffee is good, there are no extras like biscuits or sweeteners available on the table, and the portion size is quite small. Compared to Nero's, the coffee here is significantly more expensive and not necessarily worth the cost. It seems like the owners are prioritizing profit over providing a quality experience. Due to these factors, we will not be returning to this restaurant. View menu

My mother, my dog, and I received a wonderful warm welcome at this restaurant. We were seated in the cozy winter garden area and the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to chat. We both enjoyed a delicious plate of fish and chips that were cooked to perfection. The staff even brought out a sausage for my dog to enjoy. Despite the rough sea outside, the restaurant provided a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We even got to watch the sea spray through the boardwalk as we ate. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Felixstowe. I have a feeling this restaurant will be very popular in the summer.

We were on a late autumn visit and fancied lunch so this was a first visit. As we had the dog with us we sat outside but in the covered area. Ordered at the bar and staff very friendly. My wife had Beer Battered fish...finger sandwich I had BLT. Both came with side salad in a small bowl and crisps. My wifes sandwich was excellent but mine had quite thing bread. Asked if they had any salad dressing or cream and was told no!?? The fish fingers were big and she was very happy but as I say a little disappointed with my BLT especially at the price of Good that we were able to have the dog with us, but overall can only say average and expensive for what you get.

"This wasn’t our first visit (the previous occasion was more positive than this) but this was really quite poor. Problem after problem, service was poor and just not very welcoming. Firstly, drinks weren’t available issues with draft, but then bottles weren’t available either. So there was a very limited selection of drinks on offer and the staff weren’t proactive in advising what was available. So it was request and receive a no! Secondly, the food was poor. The starters were shocking. Really quite bad. There was a bit of redemption from some of the mains, but we elected to not proceed with anything else as it wasn’t great. We had to wait ages for drinks and foods to arrive despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty and many staff present. Frequently there were 3 staff at the back of the room standing about chatting, but they weren’t attentive to our needs. They didn’t check around the room to see if guests required additional drinks or require plates clearing. They didn’t check to see how the food was and when we complained regarding a starter they simply didn’t know how to handle it. When the draft beer came back on there was no proactive behaviour in returning to the table and letting us know so that more drinks could be ordered. Drinks were poured in wrong glasses, plates were cleared whilst people were still eating and then not cleared when they needed to be! Simply put the staff working had no idea on what table service should be perhaps they had received no training which is a major failing when the restaurant is part of a hotel. It was not welcoming. The restaurant was freezing cold. The service was really very poor and the food disappointing. They also don’t take dogs which in Aldeburgh is a bit weird. There is plenty of space and the tables are large so they would not be in the way. We won’t be returning."
