"Upon arriving we waited 10 minutes for two bar staff dealing with a couple of customers complaining about their food ! This is when we should have walked out but decided to give them a chance ! Whilst having a drink another customer decided to complain about “ bits “ floating in their freshly poured pint. We ordered two belly buster Sunday dinner. Upon receiving the dinner it looked awful, the waitress asked if everything was ok to where I asked what this shrivelled up thing was on my plate to be told a Yorkshire pudding which was smaller than the potato to when I realised it looked like we had been served up in comparison to aunt Bessie not a tradition country pub roast like other pubs in the area ! She came back again and I told her it was awful , she apologised and took plates mine hardly touched, this is when my partner asked what was floating in my Moretti ?? Again I left that … overall won’t be visiting again staff slow but friendly pub has no atmosphere food well below average ! Very disappointed"

Opening hours are not correct on Google! Went on a Monday, shut, no lights on and car park dead!

Recently refurbished. The food is excellent, but the wait seemed unnecessary. Service could be a bit more attentive and overall yes I'd come back. View menu

Haven’t been here for a long time so had heard it was under new management. Food was nice and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back.

Nice pub, open until 11pm which is becoming a rarity on week days, although they have just announced (Feb 2024) that they wont be opening at all on Mondays Tuesdays for the foreseeable!!

It's a really nice country pub, good food ,very friendly and helpful staff , one of our party has a garlic allergy, our waitress went to the kitchen several times to get my friends questions answered, you can't get better than that . I would recommend a visit . View menu

Visited last friday for a snack on way home. Shared the Nachos with pull pork and some olives. The food was great and outdoor seating good. A special mention must be made for the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Highly recommended and will be visiting again. Thank you.

The Bull has new management. We went back to give them a try. We sat outside to catch the setting sun and ordered some food. Pulled pork burger, fish and chips and peri peri chicken. Freshly prepared, portions were generous, prices are very reasonable £33 per head for a main, a pudding and two alcoholic drinks each. Service was very attentive. Clearly they are working hard to return the Bull to its former glory. It was a little quieter than we expected but they have made a strong start. They are also dog friendly. We will be back.

"Our excitement to see this café open allowed us an opportunity for some needed refreshment . Oh a cup of tea and a slice of cake or a little available small snack was what we needed . We were told by an employee sit down we come to you , so we did .. Another staff member standing behind the counter looked over and frumpy look called the cook who had the same frumpy look and went back to cooking , We : waited , waited , waited , waited and saw the frumpy counter woman still in the same spot , we waited and waited then left , maybe she was glued to the floor . We looked left and saw a pub named the Pheasant, oh drink and food , renewed enthusiasm and excitement we entered to staff who couldn 't do enough, so professional and warrants praise and a revisit , after a while we left and waited outside for our taxi , looking over we saw the cafe closed , ahhhhh it all came together and understanding that we was an inconvenience to the café as they was closing in half an hour after our visit , How long would it have taken to make a cup of tea for two? , us drink it , then how long would it have taken them to wash up the cups ? , they still would have twenty minutes for the woman to be unglued, our first impressions were of a cafe with many seats and a welcoming atmosphere, the woman employee sitting at the front table working was professional and welcoming the tables were clean and we kept our excitement as we waited , our excitement and enthusiasm faded, we left happily for the woman glued to the floor , we are appreciating the effort of the lady at the table who was seriously let down by the others , thank you for your efforts , apart from her professional customer service skills our Eureka moment to see the café open wasn 't to last , sorry to the staff member at the table I 'm very sure the service we had wouldn 't have been what you would have given , this review seems strong in tone but it 's our experience in here that day.. . I am not now able to show enthusiasm for another visit , I would have loved having that day and opportunity to empty my wallet a little and a little bit more on what would have been another visit , sorry no Eureka moment taken away that day."
