"I visited the Calverley Arms for Sunday lunch with a friend. I've dined here several times before and noticed a noticeable improvement in the quality of the dishes this time. As usual for a Sunday, the restaurant was quite busy, so I recommend making a reservation. Our waitress was attentive and patient, and we both enjoyed a main course and dessert, along with two bottles of wine. The total bill came to just over £70. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff never made us feel rushed to leave, which is often the case in other places. I will definitely continue to return to the Calverley Arms."

the waitress was annoying and it felt like she didn't want to be there. we had to track them up and ask for everything, e.g. to order drinks, order food etc. Beyond that, the service was so slow it took 2 hours. 15mins only to bring 2 courses to our table

The place itself is always good but the booking with opentable was not on their system (not the first time apparently) we were first told fully booked but later having waited were given our table for 7 (2 tables pushe'd together) they did all they can bit sort your booking system out

The waitress seemed quite unhappy and appeared disinterested in her job. We had to search for her each time we needed something, whether it was to place our drink orders or to order food. Additionally, the service was extremely slow; it took us 2 hours and 15 minutes just to receive two courses at our table.

when we arrived in the pub, we said that our booking was sitting on a laptop upstairs and therefore we were not booked in and there were no available tables except in the bar area (which were not suitable for my party). it is clear that the opentable reservation system is not linked to its own reservation system, therefore prestige in booking. very disappointed.

When we arrived at the pub, we were informed that our reservation was saved on a laptop upstairs, which meant we weren't actually booked in. Unfortunately, there were no available tables for us, except for some in the bar area, which weren't suitable for our group. It seems that the OpenTable reservation system is not connected to their in-house system, so be cautious when making a reservation. We were very disappointed.

Even though the place was bustling, the staff didn't rush us to leave like you might experience elsewhere. I definitely recommend the Calverley Arms!

"My son expressed his desire for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy or too casual. It's always a challenge to gather grown-up sons for celebrations when they are spread out, especially when you're unfamiliar with the restaurants in Leeds. After scrolling for hours and exchanging options, we finally settled on Gallery 41, which happened to have a 20% off deal on all food for certain days in November - perfect for N's birthday. After a long journey and a chilly afternoon at Kirkstall Abbey, we were ready to eat, and boy, did we eat well. The olives were a hit with my sons and husband, while the garlic bread was described as some of the best they'd ever had. The Skin Fries were a crowd favorite, so much so that we almost fought over the last ones. The main dishes were equally impressive, with the meat eaters raving about the Spiced Pepperoni and the Vegetarian option wowing my husband. I couldn't resist the Florentina pizza, a personal favorite of mine. Dessert was a hit as well, with everyone indulging in their sweet tooth. The atmosphere at Gallery 41 was perfect for our family gathering - quiet, cozy, and conducive to good conversation. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I look forward to returning with the rest of my family and indulging in more of Gallery 41's delicious offerings. In the end, it's the simple things like family, good food, and quality time together that truly matter. Thank you, Gallery 41, for a wonderful dining experience."
