"Paid £200 for the night for a triple room on the top floor, it was supposed to be superior I would hate to see what the other rooms look like. Very cramped for 3 adults , i had to kneel on my knees in the shower as no water pressure whatsoever, the shower head was disgusting covered in Mould and limescale. Bathroom door hanging off at bottom flapping every time you open or closed. Radiator came on boiling hot in the night , right next to the bed could not switch it off or down. Apart from this the room was clean although the corridors were not! Lots of dust and fake silk flowers everywhere all covered in Dust . Stairs leading up to the room very very steep . Breakfast was quite disappointing no vegetarian sausage alternative just normal breakfast the bacon and sausage , orange juice very watery and synthetic , disgusting! When I mentioned to the staff some of the problems they were not interested at all. Would not stay again and do not recommend. Rooms: 2 Service: 2 Location: 4"

I stopped by for a relaxing evening with a friend. The lounge area was warm and peaceful. The Old Ale was perfect. I would rate the rooms a 3, service a 5, and the location a 5.

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at this restaurant with excellent food options. We plan to return in the summer to dine in the beautiful garden. The food and drinks were delicious, with a great menu selection and a lovely outdoor dining area. The service was top-notch and the location was perfect. Highly recommend! View menu

Only came for a couple of pints. This may skew my opinion as I have heard the rooms and food are lovely. The exterior is beautiful and it is at an excellent location. The inside feels a lot like a restaurant as opposed to a pub/bar. Little bit soulless but clean and tidy. The beer selection is ok. They have the normal range of larger and cider with some good local ales (Harvey's best and Harvey's forward choice). They also serve Guinness and a wheat beer (blue moon). Coffee is served too. The two pints I had seemed well kept. Expensive (upwards of 6 quid for both pints). The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were also lovely. Would not be first choice for a couple of pints but will come ba...

The room was very small but the most annoying thing was there was only 2 small spotlights on the ceiling, one directed to the door and the other towards a dark corner where you made tea/coffee. The only place with light bright enough to do makeup or dry your hair was the bathroom (and of course you can't use a hairdryer in the bathroom) and it's not good for makeup to be left in a damp bathroom. The hairdryer was so small I thought it was a travel one. They need to do something about the lights and hairdryer. The breakfast had lots of choices and the staff were friendly and happy. If you are elderly the stairs are not safe with one side open with no handrail. We were put in a room at the top...
