Nice pub lunch. I had the gluten free fish and chips which was really good. Beer garden backing onto the river was lovely.

Great pub right on the river. Parking was a bit of a struggle. Sunday breakfast service was slow, but it could have been down to staffing issues. Could not fault the food , delicious . Would defo recommend it, and I would go back

The food was delicious, but I believe they should have served the ploughman's on a plate instead of a board. It was difficult to eat from the board. We dined indoors and were constantly interrupted by the loud doorbell for the kitchen. Small improvements like these would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Lovely pub! Came for drinks with friends and was overwhelmed by the view from the outside area. We sat at table 24, our friends had food which looked amazing, gutted we ate before coming out! Will definitely be returning for food. We were served by a man called George. He was very attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Keep up the great work George, will see you and the team again soon!

The manager was personable and advised us to sit at a bigger table as we would have people passing us quite a bit (as the table we choose was by the toilets, and we didn't realise). The food was very nice and you could tell it was cooked fresh and homemade. The pies were very tasty and the meat was tender. It was just a nice experience and afternoon. We will be coming back soon. Food was very good. Sitting in the garden watching the boats go by with food and drink was a nice experience. Service only gets four stars as on that day as there were four experiences whereby specific requirements were made with the food and drink and they were forgotten about before the items came out. All were rectified, however four occurrences during one meal is a little frustrating. Nevertheless, I highly recommend and will be returning to eat again.

We have visited the restaurant four times for their steak special on Mondays, and it is the best steak we have ever had. We appreciate the half-price deal on Mondays, which allows us to enjoy a meal out as a family. We plan on coming every two weeks while this promotion is available. Additionally, we took advantage of the two pints for £8 deal between 4-6, which also helped with our expenses. We also had a lovely experience for lunch on another occasion. The staff was very helpful when we reached out to them via Facebook messenger, which was great for me, Tracy C.

We have dined at this restaurant a few times. Unfortunately, they recently experienced a devastating fire but have since reopened. The pub is a charming old building with a lot of character, and its location in the picturesque village of Aylesford next to the river Medway is its biggest draw. The outdoor seating area offers beautiful views of the river and the historic bridge. They have a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. In my opinion, the food has improved since our last visit, with many diners there specifically for the meals, which all looked delicious.
