really good pub. it was packed, but the service was the second to none. they bar staff were so fast, friendly efficient! really impressed! nice eating. friendly atmosphere. Gold standard, why should be pubs!

this is such a big pub, very pleased that the offer of vegan options has expanded in recent years. the vegan haggis for the sunday roast is beautiful, and the vegan chili on chips is fab. I look forward to trying more of the VG options soon

Three of us came here for the City of Ale Festival. There was a wide range of beers available and the ones we had were well kept. We thought that the food was terrific. I had ham, eggs and chips. The portions were unusually big and the ham slices were really thick. Service was quick and efficient. I couldn't have asked for more.
