"My wife and I visited the Drunken Duck driving from our hotel in Windermere. An easy 15 minute drive, the Inn sits at a crossroads overlooking, on the evening we went, snow covered fields. Reception and service was very warm and friendly. The food was very surprisingly good, I had duck in a crispy pastry roll for starters, and lamb rump and shoulder for the mains. My wife had a wonderful shuffle for starters and a cod and beef combination for her mains. The food done to perfection, the portions just right for me. I'd come again if I'm in the area, hopefully on the weekends when they have a tasting menu."

The meal was excellent. Some lovely choices for starter, main and dessert. A very nice Malbec to accompany the meal.

Fantastic restaurant with a lovely choice of food and great service. Having a power cut half way through the meal wasn't expected but the staff were very helpful and it just added to the experience.

This was the first time we'd been to the restaurant, we were happy with the menu, with our choice from the menu and the quality of the food when it arrived. Yes, we'd recommend this restaurant to friends.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed our pre dinner drinks on the beautiful terrace overlooking the stunning countryside. The service continued to be very good and the food was delicious. Lovely restaurant in a lovely hotel.

Both Nick and Sue who served us at the Coach House were friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The meal was superb and the ambience great. Low level music which was welcome. Often we go to restaurants which has music far too loud. There is also seating outside with a lovely view great when the weather permits. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here was amazing, beautifully prepared with a lovely fresh taste. We ate here for two nights and couldn't finish our main course either night. The cosy conservatory is a lovely place for pre and post dinner drinks or coffee. Lovely to relax after a well cooked meal. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We will be back. The food was delicious and we will certainly go again to try more. It was difficult to choose which meal to have as they all sounded fantastic. Little disappointed with the soft batter on the fish but may just be used to a crispy coating. Very friendly and helpful staff and the service was excellent. The choice at breakfast was varied from light to full meals and beautifully cooked and presented.

A bewildered welcome from a member of temporary staff but then we were rescued by a very friendly efficient lady. The conservatory was cool tired unwelcoming. We were seated in a strange square room like someone’s sitting room but all magnolia with tables set for breakfast! Sat by the door it was cold. Items off but on the menu chef shouting out to the staff to give alternatives. Duck over cooked mushroom risotto with boiled rice. The wine was excellent and well priced.
