"Visited for breakfast with friends this morning who have been here in the past Whilst a fabulous location unfortunately today the food was not up the usual standard they had told me of Both breakfasts were inedible , scrambled egg was rubbery and over cooked and the toast was covered in a yellow margarine type of spread on really thin bread The dog we had with us did eat the sausage the only one who actually ate I did bring it to the attention of one of the staff but we had already paid for it and at £12 for a large breakfast it really did not represent value for money and there was no offer of any type of reimbursement or even a complimentary hot drink for example"

A new member of staff was in and got a little confused with our order. The toast was overdone but the coffee was nice.

Great place to have refreshments by the river, we've been coming here for years every time we visit Bewdley. Lovely staff and great coffee. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely superb juicy rib eye steak cooked blue just as I like it. Some chefs refuse to do this but not here and it was an excellent steak washed down with a local ale.

The Courtyard in Bewdley maintains unfaultable tasty food, well presented and satisfying to the palate. The staff are welcoming, friendly with excellent memories for those who frequent the restaurant, bed and breakfast to ensure that preferences and requests are adhered too and customers are kept happy. Awful experience here, very bad service, food took over an hour to arrive, four other people had complained about the wait before us too, no warning from staff about the wait or any apology, she just tried to make a joke about it, the table next to us had their food come out at separate times which meant they had to send it back until the meals came out together

First visit last night for a wedding anniversary and we have to say we were delighted with the staff and the quality of the food was outstanding. We had the rump steak and it was absolutely perfectly cooked. The char grilled taste was exceptional. The atmosphere was great and now the best bit mains, a shared desert and drinks for just over £25 per head. We'll be back!!!

"that was a good pub restaurant before. there seems to be a bad retention and a high turnover of employees who think about management. the steak I ordered was chewing and full gristle. I said the waitress politely that she would get the manager/Koch/Barman out of the kitchen. gary, the above mentioned helicopter of all trades, seems to do the work of all, instead of managing that he has not arrived. a few minutes later the waitress asked if we would like more drinks. I explained that I wanted to solve the problem first with my meal and she went back to the kitchen. finally gary arrived and in a very condesctive way explained that rib auge steak has some fat in it. I am aware of the sibling that gives taste, but not gristle and steak as hard as it is like chewing leather. in no phase I offered a replacement or another option, but after a waiting period of minutes since my complaining and the sight of cold gristle before me I was no longer hungry anyway. gary's attitude was risible. he has no customer service skills and did not make any excuse or offer of any kind to put it right. he simply produced a bill for the whole meal (minus the steak), which was wrong anyway, as there was an additional glass wee on it. he changed this with a pencil entry and stood above the table while we paid. we took family members to this pub and its attitude, lack of civil society and general ignorance made this a very unpleasant experience. we will never visit the dog again, a once excellent pub restaurant ruined by its bad administration and high turnover of unfortunate and overworked employees."
