Tasty food, especially the pancakes. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. The prices are quite steep though. £9 for a cheese toastie?! Can't really justify that in any way. Really enjoyed our lunch at the courtyard cafe today. The courtyard was sunny and sheltered, with umbrellas and space inside for those looking for shade. Staff were great: really polite, helpful and knowledgeable, and food was delicious (cauliflower bowl, toastie, and sweet potato loaded fries). Highly recommend! I’d just like to say what a lovely lunch we had yesterday with our 3 year old grandson The staff were so lovely I planned to give my grandson some of my soup and asked for a small empty bowl for him The chef however gave me a full bowl and a small extra bowl free of charge for him even putting cold milk in his to get it down in temperature for him without being asked So very thoughtful Food: 5

Kailzie catered for our wedding lunch of 20 people and it was exceptional from start to finish. John put an amazing menu together for us from canapes through to dessert and coffee for our big day. Not only was the food delicious but the staff were all super friendly and attentive throughout. Dietary requirements were carefully navigated and nothing was too much trouble. I stopped by for a light lunch before heading out to explore the gardens. My husband and I both tried the tomato chili soup, which was delicious—fresh, homemade, and packed with flavor. The wholemeal bread and butter that came with it were also great. My husband ordered a latte, which he found to be lovely and smooth; however, he didn’t receive any sugar, and we had a hard time getting the attention of the busy waitstaff. Overall, it’s a charming place for lunch, and I would definitely recommend it to others before visiting the gardens.

The service is impeccable as well, with hardworking staff who are professional, friendly, and efficient. Our go-to meal is always the burgers since we often struggle to find a properly cooked burger at most restaurants, but this kitchen really knows how to do it right. Their burgers have a perfect smoky flavor, a tasty crispy crust from being well-seared on the grill, and they're juicy in the middle. Additionally, they offer an amazing array of cakes. We tried a couple of the vegan options, and they were surprisingly delightful; my favorite was the Jaffa cake flavor. I highly recommend this place! View menu
