eating is amazing! very friendly staff and a nice feeling for the place. beautiful that we have booked immediately for the following evening. highly recommended

had an absolutely fantastic meal here. the chef went out of his way to feed us after we arrived late, has produced a few great meal times that the black bell was *cook’s kiss the best I ever had! beautiful place beautiful people. highly recommended!

wonderful food. very friendly owner. Unfortunately it is a bit too far from the way for the trade, so it is not worth opening on weekday afternoon, and the pandemic has a reduced choice of real ales enforced, but it is still worth a special trip if they miles within about 20. they will also enjoy the ride, the landscape is beautiful.

beautiful place dear men steve has us the feeling was very helpful, even brought us to the high time place and took us off what was about miles away. eating especially full English breakfast was fabulous we would definitely be back here if we continued so far. can not praise steve they have a nice friendly place thank you for everything

Highly recommended!! We came in on a Saturday without a reservation as we were passing through. They managed to get us a table anyway, despite being incredibly busy. Our server was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable and attentive. We had the fillet steaks which were absolutely perfect (and locally sourced). We had the rhubarb crumble for dessert which was equally amazing and made with rhubarb from our servers garden We felt amazingly taken care of and really enjoyed the food. Thank you so much!

we stayed here one night and broke our trip to orkney in three parts (rail strike forced us to drive). we had a super room, really comfortable bed, great showers. everything was perfect. we had dinner in the inn, which was very tasty, I had a rib-eye steak, which was tender, so big I couldn't eat it all. the breakfast was also excellent, well cooked with high quality ingredients. the owner is the cook, he came to speak to us; all the staff were so friendly, the gas house had a nice atmosphere. we stay here again on the way back, can recommend it very much.
