"I’ve had the misfortune of two successive meals at this hotel, entertaining visiting friends and family, and embarrassingly on both occasions the meat was completely inedible and was returned to the kitchen. Vegetables were underdone and the plate/food generally was far from hot. I for one certainly won’t be returning any time soon which is a shame as the atmosphere/decor suggested a better experience."

Stopped here mid bike ride. Ate in the pub side. Staff friendly, food good. Ordered a French Revolution , nicest cocktail I 've had for a while, recommend! Great atmosphere, busy but not too busy.

Booked a table for an a early evening meal, no roasts left. Very disappointed for a Sunday. Waited at bar for 10 minutes to be served, seemed I was invisible. Mentioned it to barman who said, “I serve drinks, I can only see in front...

This is pretty much our ‘local’ so thought it an idea to write an updated review. The Crown is in a great location in Blandford, with a fantastic garden to the front and restored interior. As the flagship Hall Woodhouse location (the brewery is...

We called in for Sunday lunch with my brother and his wife after a visit to the Blandford farmer's market which is worth a visit. Food was very good with fresh ingredients. My beef, although pink, was slightly chewy but tasty. Helpings were generous and...

bier excellent. good choice. the staff is very polite. the pub was very clean. had a cheesy chips snack. 7 chips and about a handcrafted single cheese melted for £ 7, which was badly worth for money. cant comment on netzen as 8 of us all ordered the same snack and were a bit gobsmacked on the skurimpy amount.

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
