Lovely food, great menu choice, yummy puddings....very attentive staff....very impressed, definitely improved since my last visit there 2 yrs ago

Took my Mother there for Mother’s Day really busy but lots of very friendly and helpful staff and great food. The views are lovely with great outside seating when the sun is shining.

I had booked a table for 7 people for Sunday dinner. After I was on an hour to get happy, I asked myself to see if there was a chance to postpone my booking a little later to say that I have no table. I said they had my reservation, but there was no place.

As a comfortable pub after a long walk this place fits the bill but doesn't quite deliver on cosy ambience or quality food. Everything form the lack of menu options available to the lackluster service from some staff was a bit of a disappointment as I wanted to enjoy it much more. Free mini pud deal via the restaurant website a bonus but didn't quite save the day!

food was below average compared to other times we’ve been there. Mu husband had Wagyu burger which was tiny and way overcooked. I had steak and ale pie which was very average. food took way too long to come out we had to ask several times and still waited unacceptable levels. Bearing in mind we had a toddler who actually got his meal ate it, and then had breakfast WAY before we got our meals is unacceptable

A lunchtime visit to a busy restaurant, plenty of customers indoors and outdoors, very popular with the walking set due to its location. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who took us to our table and we ordered drinks which were served very efficiently. The three of us chose different dishes, all were served at the same time and the food was very good, no complaints from this party. The only small issue is that the restaurant did not add my visit to my profile and I do not appear to have received my 100 points for the visit which is a little annoying !!

booked table before, as did not want to wait as I had a knee replacement a few weeks before. when we arrived, it was very busy, but we said we had to wait until the manager checked our booking and set us up. We have to wait ten minutes before we get to our table. I know that there was a very complex time and that there are now some tables that need a service, but this time I was disappointed with the service. we've already eaten here, and even if the service was busy was never so slow. Perhaps it could be possible that other server people and the manager could sit because this would have been much better. I hope they have not surpassed and the service will suffer. the food was good and serve...

This was probably the worst meal I have ever been served in a restaurant. I cannot believe that a professional chef was in the kitchen if there was he or she should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. The Christmas menu looked excellent with lots of choice however a lot of items were not available including Christmas Pudding! The starter arrived without any dressing, the main course of beef was thrown on the plate with over cooked carrots, burnt sprouts and missing the dumplings it was inedible. The main course was deducted from the bill but considering the price being charged for this disgusting three course meal it was still overpriced.
