We had the most relaxed Sunday afternoon at the pub. The food was fantastic but the staff made it so easy to relax and enjoy yourself.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times for lunch with a friend on a motorcycle. We always receive a warm welcome and the service and food are top-notch. This is one of our favorite places to eat.

We were recommended to try Ducombe Weapons by the local holiday home where we were staying, and I'm so glad we did. It was excellent value for money, with 3 courses for Sunday dinner costing just £35. We had the most delicious Sunday dinner, and the staff were fantastic and very attentive. View menu

I feel that food quality has fallen since my last visit in 2021. We called twice in May that year en route to a holiday and returning home. On both those occasions the food matched the standard of the building, service and atmosphere. All were outstanding. We booked lunch this November again, and it was ok, but I wonder if there is maybe a new chef? It was nothing special. Ok but not as good as before. I wouldn’t travel to visit again.

I was very disappointed with my recent dining experience at The Duncombe Arms. I had visited a year ago and the food was excellent, but this time the service was poor and the food was average and overpriced. I won't be returning for some time. The nearby pub, The Horses in the Long Track, offers better food, service, and value at £25 overall. The meal at The Duncombe Arms was very mediocre. I expected better, especially since I had to drive 30 minutes to get there. The Horses in the Long Track has a superior menu with a variety of choices including beef, lamb, pork, haddock, and a selection of fish, all presented in a high-quality manner. Had a lovely stay. Food was fantastic and attentive staff for evening meal and breakfast. Only criticism on the stay was when arrived to check in. We were shown to our room by a young man working behind the bar. He didnt introduce himself so I didn’t get his name. His customer service style was laid back to say the least. Friendly but not professional. Shown into room and advised “ I won’t show you around as I’m sure you have stayed in a hotel room before”. Not what I would expect when people are paying nearly £200 pound a night. As a bar man he may not of been trained in welcoming guests.
