Absolutely fantastic pub, after a busy day at Alton Towers this was perfect wind down, lovely and friendly staff, cold beer and great home made pizza, will definitely be retuning next time I'm near this area, 5 stars all round!

We won a Sunday Carvery in a raffle for Ashbourne Animal Welfare. It was a fair way for us to travel but so glad we did. The food was delicious and quite honestly the best carvery we've ever had. The staff are lovely. The pub itself warm and inviting. They even let us bring our dog and although we wasn't allowed in the main restaurant, we were allowed in the tiled area near the bar, which was still very nice. So glad we made the effort to go and we'll definately be back... 5 View menu

Awesome village pub extremely cosy, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The menu is centred around fresh, local produce with lots of wholesome dishes all delicious. Well presented, well priced and tasty. Lots of feel good favourites on the menu done brilliantly thanks the chef Darren. The beer is great as is the Prosecco. Chris (and partner) are both wonderful hosts and always greet you a smile and warm welcome. Love this place more on every visit. Keep up the great work team Tavern ???????????? This charming pub and restaurant is situated in the picturesque village of Denstone. The interior is delightful, and the gardens are impeccably maintained. There's a lovely outdoor seating area at the front, ideal for savoring the summer weather. Convenient parking is available in a lot directly across the street, which has a box on the wall to assist with the height of larger vehicles. The food is truly fantastic—generous portions, very fresh, and of excellent quality. I highly recommend it! The staff are wonderful—friendly and accommodating. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit.

What a wonderful country pub! The bar area has a fantastic atmosphere, bustling with people enjoying themselves after a walk with their dogs. The restaurant boasts a lovely ambiance and serves incredible food. As someone with coeliac disease, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dinner options available. I opted for the homemade pizza, baked in a traditional pizza oven, and it was possibly the best pizza I've ever had. The burgers also looked amazing. The highlight of our visit was definitely the service; we were looked after by two friendly waitresses who were eager to assist and accommodating of our dietary needs.
