"Gandía is not exactly high up on the tourist 's list unless you have seen the Borgias television series and want to visit their ancestral palace in the old section of the town (worth seeing). So if you 've been touring the palace and want to taste a piece of Americana, head for Fitzgerald 's, a surprisingly tasty burger venue in the city center. We used a map app to find it. The restaurant is spacious but can get noisy, especially when students roll in. It is frequented mostly by locals and some tourists. You can choose from a wide range of burgers but salads are also on the menu, as well as beers and other drinks. The paddy could have been a little more meaty in consistency, but prices for Fitzgerald 's rather large burgers are around 25 30 percent cheaper compared to pseudo gourmet burger places in Northern European cities like Stockholm. They are a good deal. You won 't starve portions are big. The fries and beer were also good. The place is a nice break from classic Spanish restaurants when you are a tourist. If you need a restroom, there is one with wheelchair access on the ground floor, but the ones on the top floor are better (requires walking a few flights of stairs). For dessert, we tried some ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauces. OK, but no wow factor."
