"The staff here are brilliant and the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast is really good, and having use of the swimming pool and fitness areas adds value. However, there were a few minor issues during our stay, hence four stars, not five. Firstly, noisy people next door and/or ghosts. If the noise was from ghosts then fair enough, they were here before me, but if from humans, please don't hold loud conversations between 1am and 6am as the sound travels. Secondly, the room was very dark, which was great at night but not during the day. Thirdly the room was cold in the day and hot at night (I guess the curtains really help insulate the room). There's a fan in the wardrobe, but it seems this is an inelegant solution. Finally, there was a tour of Lancaster castle included in the package we purchased, but we were not told about this. In summary, the staff are polite and friendly, but for a hotel at this price, the problems outlined above shouldn't occur."

I always judge a venue by how well they deal with an issue and manager John did a great job that meant we left as happy guests. Team very helpful and friendly, food good and rooms and leisure excellent. Would definitely recommend.

love this hotel! the rooms are great and the service is fab, but real attraction is the pool, sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi! if you get the weather, you could make yourself in thoughts about a sunny city break somewhere else! they always stay here if in this opposite.

it is not often I write a great review, but this hotel is a hidden gem. a small comfortable hotel with great staff and facilities. I had only one problem, I couldn't stay any longer. the staff are so friendly and they can say that they all enjoy the work in this hotel. Thank you.

My friends and I had a wonderful evening at Lancaster House Hotel yesterday evening. We had booked Swim Dine for our party of 9. After a relaxing hour in the pool, steam room jacuzzi we arrived in the restaurant to be greeted by Michele, Brandon and their colleagues. We enjoyed delicious food which catered for our various dietary requirements (dairy or wheat intolerance, vegetarian). All served with patience, cheerfulness and a try to do anything we can to make your experience a great one attitude! Thanknyou to all.

Came here for dinner on Valentine’s Day. It was easy to create a booking online, which is more convenient than calling them. The food prices are pretty high, but I have to say that the food was good; however, the portions could be improved on as they were pretty preservative with that. Furthermore, they are pretty generous with the salt in some dishes, so you might want to keep that in mind. The restaurant is located in a hotel and isn’t that loud a nice place to go with someone for dinner or lunch. Another thing to mention is that at night there is nice ambient lighting that reduces the strain on your eyes and makes the environment more romantic.
