"I am writing this review for the management. I was excited to have a nice drink by the canal, but I was disappointed. There was a lack of staff on a very busy day, and the bartender who served me was very inexperienced, having only worked there for 2 weeks. When I asked for a vodka lime and soda water, I was given a vodka and soda water with a slice of lime because they did not have lime cordial, but this was not explained to me. I then asked for a blush wine and soda water, but received a white wine and soda water instead, with very little wine and mostly soda water. There is only so much soda water one can drink."

The pub was nearly empty. However had to wait over 25 minutes for meal. Was it worth the wait? No chips were overcooked as was the fish.

We had the wake for both our parents at the Galleon. Both times the team went above and beyond. The food was absolutely amazing. They catered exactly what we requested and more!

Food is bad, didn’t look anything like food on website. toilets are dirty. Guessing the 2 on the food hygiene was about right! Wish I had checked before coming and spending money of rubbish food.

This is the closest pub to our office, so we visit routinely throughout the week including lunch times and occasional evenings. The staff (all of them! are always great; pleasant and polite and make you feel welcome (even when we first started visiting we were made to feel important and this is a reason we continue to return.

My friends and I have been frequenting this pub on Wednesday evenings for some time now. We always feel welcomed by the landlord and his staff, who are always happy to assist and greet us with a smile and friendly conversation. We highly recommend this pub as they have hosted several functions for us and always make sure we have a great time.

The Galleon is just the best public house in Milton Keynes, FACT, end of conversation, no need to debate, no need to have a discussion, move on!!! George runs a great, happy and warm pub!! A special mention must be made for a staff member “AMANDA” she is an angel of the highest order!!! Such a beautiful person and such an amazing host! Get yourself down here to enjoy the ambiance!!

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
