"Have been coming here for a while always had a lovely Sunday especially the Lemon Chicken which is actually in the online menu , Sadly we were told it had been taken off apart from the Beef the rest of the menu was not inspiring. I have just rung again today to enquire if the chicken will be on again lady said menus change most weeks I informed her that it’s been on for many weeks and if it’s advertising it on line then it’s misleading , She replied that it was on last Sunday, I asked her if we did book again could they tell me if it would be on the menu she thought so but didn’t sound convincing . Sadly if the menu stays the same doubt we will return , so I agree with previous comments that a very disappointing Menu now ."

A delightful little respite from a journey back to Leicestershire up the A1 at rush hour. No matter, The George came up trumps! Birthday Bollinger at half price wooed us, and we stayed for a delicious supper too! Highly recommend.

"Re opened, refurbished and back with a bang! A classic thatched country pub which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to more than its former glory, with new owners and new management. It now features a wonderful and sizeable pub garden with stunning views over the Cambridgeshire countryside with the quaint addition of Highland Cows who seem to enjoy watching the customers! Having been for drinks and food now on a couple of occasions, the menu is sophisticated, tasty with plenty of variety. If you're enjoying a drink in the garden, for nibbles, I highly recommend the cheese fritters they compliment a cool glass of Prosecco perfectly. There is an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails on offer. Inside the pub, it's all olde world charm but with a modern twist and as much I love the warm weather, I almost can't wait to see a roaring fire in the two fireplaces! The staff are friendly and welcoming it's the sort of pub I'd be happy to go into on my own for a light lunch or just a drink. I can't wait to try their Sunday lunch which I've heard good things about already from those who have been! Considering it's a whole new team of people, the service understandably was a little bit slow as they were learning the ropes. However, on my last visit, I was impressed by how much slicker it was they're obviously fast learners. Can't wait to go back and support this quality pub/restaurant."
