"We had a lovely meal in the restaurant as we try to avoid more crowded areas due to Covid concerns, albeit the bar had several diners, which suggested it was a good choice of place to eat. We found the restaurant delightful both thoroughly...enjoyed our meal. I had mussels in a cider cream sauce served with chips bread. Having had mussels umpteen times, this time it was a surprise! As they all were “stood up to ‘attention’ consequently looked very unusual but most attractive.” The bonus being therefore that there wasn’t a single empty shell, nor any “dodgy unopened ones,” either. The meal was terrific, albeit the attempt at the bread accompaniment was not so good, to be frank. Some decent proper french bread would have been a better thing to serve with the meal. Nonetheless I’d recommend it, as it was still fab. My wife rather gobsmacked me as she chose something I’d never expect her to choose the most massive Burger chips! Again she found it a great choice, albeit defeated in the end by the shear size of the burger! If/when we ever head back that way, we’ll certainly frequent The Globe again! Btw, they serve good beers as well!"

Brilliant staff, everyone welcoming and friendly, good food, a decent proper pub in a lovely town, if you're in or passing Lostwithiel make sure you pop in.

We visited the Globe when we were on a day break in Lostwithiel as I am a real ale drinker I was not disappointed as the pub had great ales The barman and locals were extremely friendly to us

Stayed for two nights as part of a short tour of Cornwall. The building is as quirky as it could be but beautiful. Will is a great host. Hopefully we will be back for our anniversary in November

What a lovely place to stay. The owners Will and David very friendly and accommodating. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was amazing. I would definitely stay again. Thank you to everyone associated with the globe for a lovely...week in lostwithiel.

What an amazing little gem of a pub/restaurant. Had an amazing meal in this charming place. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. A must visit if you are in the vicinity best place for vegan food around. And...apparently (according to my wife) the fish was stunning too.

We were an a two night visit to Lostwithiel and had a couple of drinks in this friendly locals pub. We were made to feel very welcome by the local guys who frequent the pub on a Friday night between the hours of They chatted away and made us welcome. The pub was busy again on Saturday evening. We didn't eat there on this visit but have have done so on previously.

Really nice place, friendly and efficient staff and the food was great. My steak was done to perfection. However, here's a tip. When you're charging for a bottle of wine make sure it's not the same bottle of wine which is being sold in...the local Co-op for Triventino is quite well known, put a big mark up on a more obscure mediocre wine in future, most people won't know.

I have stayed in many B&Bs etc, but this was the most disappointing. We spent a night here and although the breakfast was very good and the chef was very friendly, the room was very basic. The brass bed was comfortable, but the windows were...very dirty, there were dead insects in the bathroom, mould around the shower, stained curtains, chipped paint everywhere and wallpaper peeling off where we had breakfast. Our room overlooked the pub garden and people were laughing and chatting until midnight. The window wasn't double glazed so we got no sleep.
