"This is a cozy place for a drink on a cold winter's day, but I wouldn't eat here again. I had their weekend lunchtime meal deal which is pretentiously overpriced for plain or poor quality food. The mains were plain, not worth a return visit for, but at least the portion sizes were good. However, it's the quality of the starter and dessert that really let the meal down. I've had carrot coriander in quite a few different places by now, but never had one with a flavour this strange and jarring. It was inedible and only ate the roll. The waitress who collected our plates must have noticed the bowl full of soup left behind, but said nor asked nothing about it. My impression is that is must have not been the first time she's seen this and didn't want to get into why it was left like that. I don't blame her. Their leek potato was also really bland and flavourless, and not an advisable alternative. The quality was so poor that I assume they must buy in really cheap tinned soup from a catering supplier. Come on people! Making good quality, homemade soup is really not difficult! The brownie I had for dessert....seemed to have been made by someone who doesn't really understand what a brownie is. The joy of brownies are that they are richer and squishier than cake. However, the brownie I had was risen quite a bit, indicating too much time in the over maybe or two much raising agents, was much closer to dense cake. There wasn't anything soft or moist about it. It wasn't good in flavour either pretty bland really. This is something you find when a producer is trying to lower production cost as much as possible they cut back on the cocoa powder as it's more expensive than flour, or they use the cheapest stuff possible which gives food a chocolate custard type of flavour. Also why does this place have a taxidermied tarantula in a box on the wall?? So strange!! Of all the things you might want people to see when they're eating, I'd say that isn't one of them! I wondered if it had been left behind as a Halloween decoration or something."

Cute little Welsh pub with quaint decor, great selection of drinks and a decent food menu. Nice and cosy sat by the fire and the staff were lovely, especially the barman Michael (very easy on the eye haha Would definitely recommend the chilli con carne or the lamb chops! We will be back : View menu

Was disappointed to go back with my grandchildren today,as I was a regular around yrs ago taking my nain/taid was always a homely welcome and the food was basically un matched in the area,so never a problem paying a lil extra, but today was unwelcoming food over priced basically never again..

I had a great New Year's Eve meal at this restaurant. All the food was good overall, although my nachos were a bit too crispy on top. The fish and chips were delicious, with homemade chips that were definitely a highlight. The Prosecco was of good quality and the overall experience was lovely.

Lovely welcome, cosy pub, excellent and tasty home cooked food. Can’t fault anything. Yesterday I had a chicken and leek pie from the specials menu, waw, tasty, full of meat served with home made chips and fresh veg. My husband had the gammon, perfectly cooked. Love this pub. See you again soon. View menu

We visited here for an evening meal and the food was excellent and plentiful. The service was very good and we were served promptly. Our reserved table was in a nice quieter spot. Decor was a bit old fashioned but didn't distract from a nice meal Plenty of choice and a specials board Would definitely visit again

The drinks were good and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately the food was terrible. The lasagne was dry, with no tomato or cheese sauce, and cold in the middle. The blue cheese burger was missing the blue cheese, and the chips had clearly been fried multiple times. The lasagne was eventually replaced, but overall the price we paid for the quality of the food was not worth it. Making customers pay extra for salad made the plates look half empty, and the sauce in plastic pots was more fitting for a fast food joint.
