"Popped in with my Wife and 2 children for an early tea last week. The chap behind the bar was brilliant. He couldn't have made us feel more welcome and couldn't have done enough for us. We ordered 2 meals from the set 2 for £12 menu and 1 from the specials board. Everything was lovely. The giant Yorkshire we had were clearly homemade...where as most would use frozen and the whole meal was tasty and great value for money. All the veg was fresh as well. My daughter had a cracking pudding too. All in all our experience was spot on. Such a nice alternative to the usual chain pub menus we see so much these days. Well worth a visit! We'll be back!!"

Lovely clean, newly decorated pub with a real fire. Landlord was chatty and interested in our opinions but not intrusive. My husband was very pleased with his pint of cask ale!

What a find Called in for lunch and sat in their lovely sunny back conservatory. The food was excellent and really really good and filling. Service is friendly and efficient. We will be in again on our next monthly visit to Ripon. Well worth a visit. Forgot to mention that it is a dog friendly pub.
