"We had originally made a reservation at a different Italian restaurant for dinner, but while walking around, we stumbled upon Prima. After checking out their menu, we decided to cancel our reservation and dine here instead. We each enjoyed a main course and a bottle of wine, both of which were delicious. I ordered clams and wished there had been a bowl for the empty shells instead of placing them on the tablecloth. A finger bowl would have been useful as well. Despite these minor issues, the service was overall very good. The atmosphere was excellent and we were surprised at how busy it was for a Monday evening. The prices were reasonable and we would definitely dine here again if we visit Ripon in the future."

As we grow older, it seems we have become quite predictable. We consistently choose the same restaurant in Ripon and order the same meal every time. We have visited countless times with our children and grandchildren, which has made us somewhat experts at reviewing it. The kitchen shows real skill, especially with their light tempura batter on the calamari and a pizza base that has impressive flavor - even my family members who usually don't eat the crust were impressed. Along with friends we were looking for somewhere for a meal and decided on Prima because of the authentic kerbside appearance. We were delighted that we chose this restaurant, quirky interior with a really good atmosphere. Menu was varied with plenty of choice all at reasonable prices, the quality of the food did not disappoint it was well presented and very tasty. The serving staff were a credit to the owner and the customer service levels were exceptional. We would highly recommend if anyone is looking for authentic italian food at a reasonable price in a super setting

What can I say, Prima is an EXCEPTIONAL place to eat. The staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The restaurant is very cosy , clean and inviting. This was our first time visiting Prima for a sit-down meal. Usually we have just nipped in for a take out Pizza, but this time my partner and I wanted to get the full experience, and we were not disappointed. The food was DELICIOUS. The ladies who served us were absolutely delightful and made conversation and you really felt like they wanted you there as paying customers. My partner and I tipped generously and we left with huge smiles on our faces (as well as full bellies! .
