"Having an off day? So a little disappointing to be honest, I love this pub normally, great beer, great food and i can only think this was an off day because of the gigs going on at Alexandra palace. I ordered a burger, now I am fond of burgers and try burger restaurants and burgers at most places I visit. £17.50 for a burger is very top end (bar a couple of places), for this, you get proper patties from a butcher or home made, with extras to jazz it up to make it feel worth the money. I understand the food industry and know that the ratio of 4:1 for price sold to ingredient costs. I am sorry but the burger sold below is embarrassing, that is literally a £1 sainsburys burger and those are not triple cooked chips, they are literally mcaains chips fried, meaning the cost of that would be £2 MAX. If you charged £10 i would expect that, but to charge £17.50 its daylight robbery and embarassing Now I can only assume this was an off day and normally the burger is better and maybe you ran out of the quality ingredients because of how busy it's been this week? Anyway, I am sure to be back as this place is usually on point!"

Friendly and welcoming pub. Spacious pub with a good atmosphere. We only had drinks but the wine and beer were good. Good atmosphere but not too loud.

Love this place. Great building, great range of properly kept beers, lovely atmosphere, nice beer garden (whatever the weather) and friendly staff. What more do you want?

This restaurant is a great place to enjoy a pint or have a relaxed meal with family and friends. The Sunday roast was delicious, and I would definitely return to this spot!

This London restaurant has one of the best beer selections around! The service is super friendly and they are very dog-friendly, even providing complimentary dog treats. I would highly recommend this place. View menu

If you can overlook the extortionate prices in this venue, the food is generally ok, the drinks less so. A spacious venue which seems to value the custom of drinkers with dogs who are supplied with various items during their stay.

Food is very poor overpriced. Cheeseburger reminded me of the McDonald's value one that you add to your main order as an extra for£1.19. Not worth the £17+ we paid. The mushy peas with the fish was a teaspoon full. Very disappointing experience.

This local restaurant has undergone a significant change. Once vibrant and bustling, it was a true community hub. However, the atmosphere has now diminished, it's very quiet, and the selection of beers has greatly declined. It's a disappointing situation. It seems like all the regulars are now at 3C. View menu

A traditional British pub with original features and a large garden area. The garden area at the back had covered areas. The staff were all very friendly And we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We had 2 starters and some cheesy chips that were tasty. The one factor that made the visit memorable was the decor of the pub it’s original old features all kept spotlessly clean. We will go again and I recommend that if you are anywhere near this area try to fit in a visit, even if it’s just to see a traditional English pub.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing inside the pub for years , managed to go last week . Wow what a shock , a once beautiful interior slowly decaying through neglect . I had imagined shining leather , gleaming well maintained brass and beautiful highly polished etched glass .None of this was evident we had the misfortune of sitting at a table near the toilets , which I used , filthy and the smell ??? The whole pub was dirty rotten .As custodians of a historic building and interior like that , you should be ashamed

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
