"We booked in at the Grill Pit on a Sunday afternoon (05/03/2023 after hearing from others that it was good for gluten free food. My husband has Coeliac disease and therefore gluten free food is a necessity for him, rather than a lifestyle choice. He had already contacted the Grill Pit beforehand and was happy that they understood cross-contamination and took gluten free food allergies seriously. Upon arriving we were greeted by the very friendly and likeable Sam who made us feel right at home and got us some drinks while we looked at the rather extensive menu. My husband went for the GF piggy back bird and the fully loaded GF rodeo fries which he reliably informed me were fantastic (I wouldn 't know, he wouldn 't let me near them! . If it tasted anywhere as good as my choice, I can see why he was so reluctant to let me try. My choice was a 'normal ' Sweet Caroline burger (without cheese cos I 'm fussy and also a portion of Rodeo fries but also without cheese. I also enjoyed two cocktails for £12, Long Island Iced Teas and VERY well made : My husband had no after effects from eating at the Grill Pit which is always the true test for a Coeliac. Overall, a lovely experience with great food and a really welcoming and helpful staff member. I would recommend to others eating here whether you have Coeliac disease or not."

eating here is absolutely amazing never disappointed. it is always delivered hot and tastes amazing. the delivery is on the longer side, but everything is fresh from what I think so it is worth waiting. In portions are very large and the prices are on the higher side, but they get one hundred percent what they pay.

OK so I'm not a sports fan particularly, but am a hungry meat eater staying in a cheap hotel. Was looking for something simple, but almost everything was covered in some sort of sauce. Opted for ribs thinking they could not be that bad should have been re named grissles not very pleasant at all. Add to that, the loud atmosphere wouldn't recommend.

we just came home after we have eaten for my sonny birthday, everything I can say is where there were 11 of us and nobody had a complain about everything. eating was amazing and the personal was really friendly and chatty. I took my sonny birthday cake, but I brought it home tomorrow because we were all too full to cut it. we will be back defo and recommend to all

burger was great, I would say top 5 I had in Britain so far, pommes were massiv, but fantastic, koleslaw was very different on a good way, it was refreshing, something background like shiny with crumble and spicy spicy, instead of just cheap mayo, epic wobbles in those. brisket was overcooked mais on the cob was raw, which left a huge one down, as this is easy to do.

We had pre-booked a table but ended up waiting for 15 minutes before going to the bar to ask for a menu. We were told that the restaurant was too busy to serve food at that time. After speaking to a staff member who was busy serving another table, we were told that we could come back in half an hour when things had slowed down. Unfortunately, we had to go elsewhere for our meal. Disappointing experience.

The food and drinks at this restaurant were excellent, and the service was very fast. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and we enjoyed trying a mixture of them. I would highly recommend the chicken tikka kebab and biscoff sticky toffee pudding. The onion rings were the only disappointment as they were too salty to eat, but overall the experience was fantastic. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I am surprised by the number of people complaining about the lively atmosphere of this venue. It is evident as soon as you walk in that this is a somewhat loud sports bar, so why sit down and order if that's going to be an issue? Regardless, I stopped in here for a quick bite to eat while enjoying some daytime drinks. We weren't very hungry and weren't sure what we wanted, so we ordered a few small dishes. Everything was incredibly tasty and very reasonably priced. In fact, it was so good that we ended up ordering takeout from them the following weekend. We will definitely be returning!

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
